skipper, no I am not that shallow , I am not even an American so I can't vote, but from what I see around American society their are 2 different races white and black and still there is some strugle for the black people...from where I come from (Egypt) we have white and black and they are both Egyptians and we had a black president so it is normal for us but till now there are so many Americans who don't admitt that black americans are really americans and have all the right...and no I don't think that black people have less IQ I believe we are all equal...thats why I am asking this question, most of who answer here are from America....:-)

Wouldn't bother me a bit. When we cry our tears are colorless and when we bleed we all bleed red. The rest is pure mule muffins!

I wouldn't mind if any person of any race became president. When are we going to stop thinking in these racial terms? Barak Obama represents much more than a black or white man. I truly think he represents what our nation needs for change. He is direct, honest and carries himself very well. At this point he has my vote!! I hope he wins and Biden is vice!

If Barbara Jordan was alive, I'd vote for her in a heartbeat. We'd have a woman president, a black president, and more importantly a decent president that cares about all people.

I think that too many blacks are concerned with empowering themselves as a race. The administration would soon become swamped with other blacks, finally holding the whiphand over their former masters.

Read "the bell curve",african origin blacks have a 10 point IQ deficit compared to like for like whites. This would be bad for society as a whole.remember chairman Mao's "great leap forward"?

For these reasons, they arent ready and neither am I.

Just fine as long as he took the oath of office on a Bible and not a Koran. You do know that Obama refused the Bible and took his oath with a Koran. I'm not too comfortable with that idea especially since he proclaims to be a Christian and is a member of the Church of Christ. Uh-huh

If he shoves Bush out of the way to get there I applaud him. I just want someone in support of stem cell research

It does not matter whether he/she is white or black as long he/she has the wisdom to govern the powerful nation today.

Why does race matter?

I'd feel the same way as if a white person was elected president.

Just fine. By the way, if you are referring to Obama, he's half black and half white.
