Seriously, this question is for the mass of people who consistently mis-use the word "Neocon".

Without looking in a reference, please define a "neocon" for me.

I'm all about small government and government staying out of our lives, but isn't it about time the US government stepped in and said enough is enough? High oil prices are crushing our economy, not to mention my wallet. The US gov't needs to seize control of all American-owned petroleum companies, do all the foreign oil purchasing itself, and set a ceiling on what it will pay per barrel.

Again, I don't like big, interfering governments, or any type of socialism, but 100 dollars per barrel is ridiculous. Need i remind anyone that 8 years ago, street prices for unleaded gasoline were ONE FIFTH of what they were today?

They are doing all they can. Desperate fellows. They have even started a smear campaign against Shri Modijee.

Maybe they will remember and relate to the words of famous western politician: "You can fool some people some time. But you cant fool all the people all the time."

The prayer of every Hindu:
"Jai Bhagavan, I surrender to you Bhagavan and ask for your protection"

I am very disappointed with the president's decision. How could you grant pardon to a person who doesnt even admit he is guilty of the crime? and before the decision was made, Erap publicly condemned the judicial system of the Philippines. how could the government let go of the big fish? Doing so only gives an implication that we tolerate criminals and that that it is okay to steal from the government? We must act and send the message that cases like plunder is a serious crime and punishable by law. We are talking billions!

Why would anyone want to be in a (labor) union?
It seems to me a genuine need for a union implies a conflict of interest between employer and employee. Personally I would rather just find a better job.
The government however, seems to believe an employer is free to treat its employees any way it chooses and if the company experiences retention / staffing problems, the government will ship in workers from other nations or will provide incentives for the company to shift the work to another nation entirely.

lol i dont understand thin.
I've been reading American history in my history class and have A LOT of respect for these people to fought to free from england.
The revolutionary war began for the rights or liberty, life, and pursuit of happiness. The MAIN reason was for the taxes.
But even today we can't do anything about these taxes, its soooo stupid. I mean if our founding fathers would know that their country would become a place that makes marijuana illegal, take rights from teens and young adults and lie to tis people they would have killed themselves.

why doesn't the governemnt value these things? i mean the main reason this country was made was for the people to vote on taxes and spend the money how they want. BUT DO YOU SEE US SPENDING IT HOW WE WANT AND VOTING FOR TAXES??
where did these values get lost, why doesn't anyone do anything about this? i just dont understand

I live in India, world/s largest democracy where most things are in shambles in spite of a sincere Government in power under Honorable Manmohan Singh who appears to be chained and suffocating. If this question is put to me, I will unhesitatingly say, United States of America, a country that unfortunately is looked upon as a hostile power to many other countries.
