Seriously, this question is for the mass of people who consistently mis-use the word "Neocon".

Without looking in a reference, please define a "neocon" for me.

Neocon originally referred to a group of intellectuals, many Jewish, who started out on the left and wound up on the right. As with many political terms, the meaning has morphed over time, and it now essentially means 'Conservatives' (although neocons reject several basic beliefs of traditional Conservatives; the definition of that term is a whole other story) who support an aggressive foreign policy centered on force over diplomacy or economic pressures, particularly in the Middle East.

A neo-con is a fascist narcissistic conservative who has no problem ignoring our Constitution or our laws to achieve their agenda. Even many old school conservatives find neo-cons a threat to our freedoms, as do I. For them the end justifies the means, so blatant disregard for US law, due process, and habeas corpus means little to them. They would have made Hitler proud! Many are raciest, bigoted uneducated morons, however the highly educated ones are nothing more than corporate whores.
Liberals and Conservatives are balance for the USA whereas the radical far left Liberals and the Neo-Cons are a threat to the USA.

A "conservative" who no longer believes in the principles that govern traditional conservatism. Example: Dick Cheney is a neocon, Pat Buchanan is a conservative.
