Maybe it's because I'm a vet, and understand the reality of fighting terror on our soil vs theirs. Does the so called majority forget that the terrroist struck first? And more than once. We took about 15 shots to the jaw before we fought back, and now we want to bail out. We are fighting the terrorist who want to kill us. They wanted to, tried to, and did kill us LONG before we fought back Why can't we understand that? There have been anti war rallies in every conflict. Don't forget 97% of congress voted to go to war, based on the information that was provided, by both Democrat and Republican secret service members. Pointing fingers is easy and Hind sight is 20/20. Every political person, Dem and Rep alike who now want to cry about it, are cowards. At least the ones who still stand for what they believe in spite of the media bias, have balls enough to do so. I don't want a leader who crumbles to the desire of the weak in tough times. Don't cry about war then complain of no protection!

Back in the days of Leo Frank they were fervid supporters of the deicide doctrine - Jews as Christ-killers - whereas today they are fervid zionists who regard Jews not Christians as God's Chosen People. How did this come about? Obviously,Israeli money has a lot to do with Christians United for Israel (CUFI),the fundie/Jewish org staging events all over the country lately. But doesn't the whole rise of post-war fundamentalism correspond to increases in U.S. funding for Israel? Fundies were down for the count after the 1920's; the big revival seems to coincide with periodic increases in aid to Israel. Example: Billy Graham. Unknown outside the south. Goes to Israel. Suddenly, lots of $. Prime-time tv specials, mass media p.r. campaign, gets famous fast, lots of money to spend. Since fundies are the foundation of U.S. support for Israel, how much of fundamentalism itself is stimulated by the Israeli government using our own aid $? If this isn't what happened then what did, what other cause?

I'd really like to know more about it. What little I could find, sounds almost like a repeat of the disastrous amnesty bill of 1986. I hope I'm wrong. I really like to think that something was learned from that and that our elected representatives will make better decisions this time around. I don't claim to have the answers, but it can be frightening to think what these politicians will base their decisions on. It's usually not what is in the best interest for the US.
Does anyone know where I can read the proposed immigration overhaul agreement that was made on Thursday by some key democratic and republican senators?
Thanks

The founder of the 700 Club also founded Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA. Their law school sends alumni to the highest places in the US Government and their faculty consists of former Atty. General John Ashcroft and other luminaries. In America, where religion and state are separate, graduates of a religious college are taking over the US Government from within and no one is speaking up. As a result, those US attorneys who did not mesh with Pat Robertson's alumni were fired from their posts. In past regimes, those "politically insignificant" people would have been executed or imprisoned for life. How did we allow this to happen and can we stop it?

President Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. Today, TODAY!, they think that they have found evidence to support a theory that there were more killers of the President than the one 'convicted' in popular opinion and US governmental findings (L.H. Oswald). My question: If it takes 44 YEARS to come up with a final answer to that question (and we still don't know if it's final), why, and how, can we expect the same type of government panel to come up with the "REAL" reason behind the starting the Iraq war?

Clinton dies and of course goes straight to hell. When he gets there the Devil greets him and offers him three ways to spend eternity. They go to the first door and the Devil shows him Newt Gingrich, hanging from the ceiling with fire under him. Bill says "Oh no! That’s not how I want to spend all eternity......." They go to the second door. The Devil shows him Rush Limbaugh chained to the wall being tortured. Bill says "Oh no! Not for me!"

They go to the third door. Behind it is Ken Starr, chained to the wall with Monica Lewinsky on her knees giving him a BJ. Bill thinks and decides, "Hmmm, looks okay to me. I’ll take it." The Devil then says, "Good. Hey Monica, you’ve been replaced

Seperation of church and state isn't at all constitutional. Nowhere it is mentioned in there. The way it came about was in a letter written by Thomas Jefferson. I think that what he meant by seperation of church and state was keep the government out of the church not the church out of the government. Why are christians not allowed to pray in public schools even though it is our constitutional right? Also what are the benifits and limits that the church should be involved in the government?
