One has nothing to do with the other. The price of gas is based on supply and demand principles------taxes are based on demand and demand and demand by government.

I didn't get any tax cut I got a tax increase.
Postage also just went up but the law that raised it moved some budget lines from the federal government budget to the US Postal service.
Therefore, the Postage rate increase is really just another tax increase with a different name.
And it was done by the Republican President.

My total tax cut under the leadership of Bush amounted to $32.00 that was enough to get enough gas to fill up and what was left to mow the yard. Not lucky enough to get those huge tax breaks that rich friends of Bush got. Like CEO's of big oil and there added bonuses.
