Government - March 2007

I took the San Diego trolley to the end of the line to a new mall in Santee, California. This is a very nice new mall with acres of parking lots. Wouldn’t it be a better city plan to have designed the parking under the stores and have a tranquil park environment between shops? Think of the difference this would make.

I get to thinking of how much our culture is based on driving there and shopping... Shopping is good and getting there is fun too, but I just want there to be more of a balance of asphalt to nature. We would be more peaceful if we had more trees and plants among us.

What do you think? I want the city planners of today and tomorow to think like this.

Former President Clinton was impeached after events that were completely unrelated to politics. Bush has arguably tested the furthest boundaries of democracy and the American way and still hasn't had his peers definitively bring his leadership and decisions into question. I don't follow politics as closely as I'd like to so I figured I'd see what everyone has to say.

The Caretaker Government of Bangladesh is a goverment that takes the power after a ruling government finish its five years. Then the Nutral Caretaker Goverment rules the nations for 3 months to place a fare election for all the parties in Bangladesh. No other counties have adopted any such govermnet in history. Only Bangladesh has it. Do you think its a good idea to have a caretaker goverment in every country to have a fare election chances?

See the beslan schoolhouse slaughter if you dare at prophetofdoom.net ....I would ADVISE everyone to warn your kids, teachers and bus drivers and have them plan ways around this type of thing, like for one, rushing the terrorists,drivers certainly not stopping for them, and watching all traffic around kids busses, etc.be genuine, these people are deadly to americans they want to kill 4 million americans, 2 million american children , and they will continue to try until our government puts them out of our countries !

It seems that most dictatorships were either elected or popularly emplaced at least initially. Hitler was elected democratically and most Cubans supported Castor's coup. Hugo Chavez recently won elections with overwhelming support, as do any number of corrupt African regimes. So do people deserve the govenments? Why or why not?

I am really just bitching right now. I just did my taxes I feel like like Philadelphia city tax is to high considering my water main needs replaced and I have to pay for it. Nj it is covered. Nebraska covered and they dont have this city tax. Now the part about the goverment overspending. How cost effective is creating new jobs that dont produce anything. I keep hearing we created 130,000 new jobs this month. The thing about is these jobs dont help our GDP. That is where we make or money other wise we are just robbing the tax payer. This is my theory about our goverment. IRS takes our money they give it to congress use it for a year then they give a refund make you feel better. Then the treasury department says we need more money in circulation. Give the tax payer a break quit printing up more money. I could say alot more I am running out of characters though. Voice your oppion. I would like to hear someone who thinks there not out of control. Vote for a pay as you go congress.

The 16th Amendment reads:

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

The Supreme Court defines "income tax", as an excise tax "imposed with respect to the doing of business in corporate form".

With tax on property, gas, sales, heating, communications, cable, auto registration, inheritance, lottery winnings, capitol gains, home sales, home buying and even foreclosure the government is completely over taxing like never before.

Question is, if the federal reserve bank is privately owned by anonymous individuals and corperations, why am I sending my money away without there being an accounting of how the tax collected is spent?

Isn't this taxation without representation?
