Yes, but he should be chosen differently. We should still have Primaries and National Conventions to choose the candidate for each party, but there should be no national election for the office of President of the United States. Instead, after the election of Congress, the presidential candidate of the incoming minority party in the House of Representatives should be the President. That way there will always be Congressional Oversight for at least the first half of a President's term.

Have you ever taken a government class? Basically, when we didn't have a president, (See articles of Confederation) the country was a disaster. One of the main focuses of the US constitution is a system of checks and balances which could not exist without the president. Even if the current one doesn't make the best decisions ever, we shouldn't just completely eradicate the position.

I don't see the point anymore! One lies on public TV then admits what he did the next day. Now we have a monkey in
the White House that is playing General with his toy soldiers
while he takes a vacation EVERYDAY!! The last thing this country needs is a president! They will say anything to get your vote then ignore you every chance they get!!!!!

Actually, I think we should at least consider a small committe, say of 3 or 5 people. Couldn't be any worse than it is now.
