Most countries have blamed my country was Indonesia coz of the terorism which established by the most moslem religious (not to all moslem but it might be the different one sect of moslem).

Howsoever, as we are as an Indonesian christian people who as minority one in my country are also hardest to get visas or entry permit either for holidays, conference or meeting required, or it might be to apply for a job in UK

But a lot of UK companies and its people are allowable to work and stay more longer in our country.

I felt that `its an unafair solution. Either UK or USA looks sound satisfied into "sow the seeds" in our country, then "to reap the fruits", then bring back "the fruits" to your country.

We can called it as a " Softly Collonialism" ?

very unfair solutions.

They are turning their back on the country and doing actions against it by putting the interest of the lobbyists or whomever in front of the interests of the people and the country.

I admit this is a reach. I recall a quotation from a noted personality (I was thinking Oppenheimber, but not sure..maybe V. Bush) given before a Congressional committee in the 50's defending some authorization bill. I'm trying to confirm who said it and what the actual quote was.

The conversation goes something like...

Congressman: "Why should the US, the greatest nation in the world, spend money on museums, universities, and cultural activies given that we face this enormous threat from the Communists?"

Respondent: "Because it is exactly those institutions that make us the greatest nation in the world".

Wish I had more to go on...thanks.

Back in 1969, Congress was in session for 350 days out of the year. In 2006, the leadership has decided to devote 72 days, or a little over two months, to official legislative business. When Mondays and Fridays are included in this total (voting generally only takes place Tuesday through Thursday), this number rises to 125 days.

This is absolutely ridiculous!! Why aren't we demanding our Congress-people to work as many days a year as we do!! I haven't taken a vacation since May 2003 because I can't afford to, but Congress average wage is over $170,000 per year, not including stocks, bonuses, and "other". What gives? Why do we accept this, aren't we their boss?

9/11 happens, our Govt tells us who did it. We go into Afghanistan to find them, decide that we need to invade Iraq instead, because they need to have democracy. Next, the Administration opens secret prisons (to torture?) the terrorists. Now Bush wants Congress to rewrite Art 3 of the Geneva Convention, as if we even have the right to do that. What's wrong with this picture?

He didn't need Congressional authority to open secret prisons, until the Supreme Court ruled he must follow international law & abide by the Geneva Convention. He didn't need American citizens permission, to use our tax money to open & run the prisons. But he needs Congress to define what torture is? Could he be afraid of being brought up on charges for war crimes in the international community?

Communism and terrorism may rear its horrendous head(s). Once again a new dictator Russia seeks tsar power, Vladamir Putin. As he slowly removes the democratic power of the Russian people he makes a concerted effort with Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadi Nezhad to connect the power of both communism and terrorism. A new evil is brewing. Why do we allow the grotesque power of individuals to override the destiny of millions?
