After the president's assumption that he is above legislators and judiciary, and the refusal to grant everybody their human rights under the UN and Geneva conventions one might be forgiven for thinking that.
Please go easy on the invective, I heard it all before.
Reasoned argument would be appreciated.

When asked by a journalist about Indian tribal sovereignty issues, he answered...

"Tribal sovereignty means that; it's sovereign. I mean, you're a — you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And therefore the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities." —President Bush, Washington, D.C., Aug. 6, 2004

President Bush so fully flubbed his response that journalists in the room began laughing at him.

I don't like to know that anybody was laughed at for being mentally retarded...even old Dubya.

I have been in the construction trade twenty years. It was my love.I have been forced out now as these "strangers" from who knows where have taken all the jobs because they work so cheap then they bring the money back TO THEIR COUNTRY.Well, maybe it's me,maybe I should get a second job.How about retail at night?Nope.People there are all assumed legal but we all know how they get the jobs with bought or borrowed ID.These "strangers" took all those jobs.I got it,I'll pump some gas for some extra cash.Nope,"these"strangers all got that covered too for pay a little more than dirt.I am an American citizen and I am now broke. My President does not see me because I don't live in the Middle East. There's terrorists there. He sees them. What about our terrorists? The drug dealers in all our major cities?Aren't drugs chemical weapons of mass destruction?Mfg's putting known toxins in products.Biological warfare?Pres, get some glasses and take care of here. Can't even get Italian pizza, stranger pizza now

It must be nice! Like they need a freakin raise?
Below writtenBy MARTHA RAFFAELE, Associated Press Writer
HARRISBURG, Pa. - Many legislators repaid their midterm raises before the state Supreme Court ruled that the payments were illegal, but dozens either kept the money or said they donated it to charity, officials said Friday.
The pay-raise law was passed without debate or public hearing in the early hours of July 7, 2005. A repeal vote came in November, after widespread public criticism and the electoral ouster of a sitting Supreme Court justice that same month.
The justices' ruling, however, reinstated salary increases for themselves and the state's other 1,000 elected judges. They cited a constitutional provision that bars reductions in judges' pay in most situations.
Senate GOP lawyer Stephen MacNett said some senators have asked him to explore the possibility of introducing a constitutional amendment next year that would allow lawmakers to rescind future raises for judges.
