When asked by a journalist about Indian tribal sovereignty issues, he answered...
"Tribal sovereignty means that; it's sovereign. I mean, you're a — you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And therefore the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities." —President Bush, Washington, D.C., Aug. 6, 2004
President Bush so fully flubbed his response that journalists in the room began laughing at him.
I don't like to know that anybody was laughed at for being mentally retarded...even old Dubya.

Billy Bob...thank you for your kind words about my avatar. It's a compliment being called ugly by the likes of you (a racist square head).

We've seen time and time again that he is not verbally eloquent when put on the spot. I do pity the man. Who would actually *want* to deal with all the garbage he's been dealt since he took office? Had I been him, I'd not have run for re-election in '04, just because he had already dealt with enough junk at that point.
It does not mean he is not a good thinker when he can step out of the spotlight (like in an office, away from the cameras, reporters, and all the little people waiting for him to flub it). It just means he's not good with reporters.

I actually like hearing someone that makes mistakes and sounds human. Unlike most robotic politicians who memorize their talking points and will not and cannot deviate from them. I want a human being. Why is so important if he had a C average at Yale, or that he sometimes (or frequently) destroys his dialect, needs his vernacular varnished, or Splatters his Speech? I do not need to hear what sounds like another overblown pompous professor. Most of whom can't pack their own lunch outside of their classroom

It’s not about being sorry for him because he can’t articulate well many can’t, however, it’s all those people who voted for him that should be highly embarrassed. That just shows how intelligent they are.
In all I feel sorry for our country...and the state of affairs we are in.

No, I don't feel sorry for him. If he can't cope with these questions (that he should be clued up about) then he shouldn't be president.
