During the first two years or the Bush Admin., he met with corporate leaders and representatives, drafting much corporate friendly legislation, leading to loosening of air and water pollution standards and other benefits to the American People. What is he doing now?

I believe General Robert E. Lee was the most influential figure in the war ,on the side of the south , I believe he was a proud man who refused presidents Lincolns offer to be top General of the union army ,as his love for the South was patritic. He died broke, sick and hardly known ,but if you dig into history books ,for the truth ,he emerges as the most magnificent man in either North or South of the conflict.I think is time he is remembered with a stamp, or coin ,or some landmark, .

This question is in response to someone elses question, asking,
"so america why does our GOVERMENT KNOW more personal information about its free people-?"
It just seemed odd to me how people think we can't be free if we are not completely annonimous and secret at all timees to all people. Its as if they think that anything the government knows about you can and will be used against you. I wish someone would explain this to me because it doesn't make sense. Is it that Americans are insecure to the point that disclosure paralyzes them, thus making them less free to move? Help!

Democrats and Republicans both have to agree before a WAR can be started. Bush didn't do it alone, he can't do it or anything else by himself. Everything gets voted on and can be vetoed. Quit blaming him for everything !!!!

I think Bush's War on Islam in Iraq will be like World War I in the history books. School kids will be forever scratching their heads about why we went there. What do you think?

It is an insult to my sense of honesty and common sense that over 1000 Commerce Dept employees just walked off with a laptop containing millions of records of American citizens. Who is watching the store. Do they have no system of inventory control? Has anyone gone to jail for theft?

I feel great trepidation for our childrens children and beyond. So I feel we must elect someone who has the tenacity and foresight to see what is going to happen in the UK in the not too distance future. Some one who will not sell us down the line.

However, do you think that I am on the wrong track here and think that it is enivitable that the UK has to be integrated into EU and lose it's identity completely and become one big family within Europe.

My question would be why? We are unique as are the Spanish, the french and every other country. Could you see these countires wanting to lose their identity? No I doubt it very much. So come on lets us make a stand for the rights of the UK. It's not in our nature to be trodden underground
