Cosntitution.
Traditionally, the burning of a flag represents the idea that the people being protested are burning the country. This is not dangerous. Trashing our constitution by taking away every major point that the writers were trying to make will turn this country into another Nazi-like fascist regime. Bush has been in office for only 6 years and has killed an estimated 1.2 million people. Hitler had been in office for almost 7 years before the death toll got that high.

Trashing of the constitution is worse. The constitution is setup to protect minority's views, ie flag burning. When the constitution is trashed or overlooked, this means that everyone has lost liberty. If the flag is trashed this means maybe someone will get burnt. I much rather have freedom then being burned.

Definitely, trashing our Constitution is more dangerous. The flag is just a symbol, and basically meaningless. Without a flag, we would still be the United States of America. The Constitution, on the other hand, IS who and what we are. Without it, we would be just another dictatorship or monarchy.
By the way, I think pledging allegiance to the flag is ridiculous. I think we should pledge allegiance to the Constitution. It's that document that protects our freedoms, not the flag. The flag protects nothing.

Trashing the constitution would be more dangerous but trashing the flag is more vivid. I think either should be considered a terrorist act and should be punished accordingly.
BTW, Bush didn't trash the Constitution, he is defending it.

Trashing the constitution is more dangerous. Trashing the flag should be treason--not freedom of speech!

Trashing the flag is a show-offy act to get attention from shock.
Trashing the Constitution is much more serious, a betrayal of responsibility by federal judges, legislators or the President, a throwing away of the civility built by ingenous founders, and an invitation to civil war.

Constitution. The Constitution is our set of laws outlining our rights and responsibilities as Americans.
I don't agree with trashing the flag. But, it is a symbol of how free we are that someone can burn our flag and NOT disappear - never to be seen again. Try burning a flag in Iran and see what happens.

We no longer have a constitution to trash. Sigh, oh well. I don't care about a flag, it is just a piece of material.
