I've done a little research, but I'm still confused. Citgo apparently seems to be 'owned' by Chavez, the ruler of Venezuala that has insulted and makes fun of Bush's administration. I understand we can make this a bush vs. anti-bush issue, but my question is not about that. One website I read claims that Chavez is contributing money to the needy. Another one claims that he is doing it to make Bush and his administration look bad. I'm not sure who is right, or what to do. Your thoughts?

Gordon Brown and the Labour party used to accuse the Conservative Government of 'selling the family silver' when privatisation measures were introduced. They then enthusiastically started privatisations themselves and rather ironically sold a large part of British gold reserves for rock bottom prices. Now that gold prices are so much higher - don't they look a bit stupid and shortsighted?

Why does Bush always trying to scare his own people Americans? Everytime I listen to Bush, watch one of his speeches,or read something about him he is always trying to scare his own people. In almost every single speech he talks about terrorists, killing innocent people, evil extremists that want to take our freedom away(which doesnt make sense) cause it seems like he's the one taking our liberties and civic rights away.Always brings 9/11 in to our memories. Listen don't get me wrong what happen was really sad,but why does he have to keep remaining us. It seems like he tries to imbed fear and paranoia in his own people just to do whatever he wants. He always mentions how he wants to bring democracy to other countries, than why is he curbing democracy here in USA.

If you still believe that still air fires (which burn at temperatures
between 250 C and 400 C ) can soften steel significantly to cause an instant and sudden collapse of a building (even an hour or more after being on fire); look at:

http://www.911research.com/wtc/analysis/fires/steel.html

and notice that 250 C flames do nothing to decrease the strength of steel. The melting point of steel is around 1500 C to 1650 C, and at even 600 C, steel still has half of its room temperature strength!

As some of you may, or may not know, the plain which hit the twin tower buildings flight number was Q33. The Sep 11 attack happened in New York City - NYC.
Go to Microsoft Word. Change the font to 'Wingdings'. Type in Q33 NYC .. Have a look at what appears. Do you recognise the symbols? The pictures? The signs? Was it the Muslims .. or was it the Jews. The characters speak for themselves.

Do you ever sit and contemplate what we are told to be so, and what is really true? Security is a good point to ponder. Do you think you are really any 'safer?' I, for one, do not. I think it is nothing more than a charade to keep us all placated. Keep us numb with consumerism, keep our heads in the sand, distract us with mindless bullshit; anything to keep up from considering the real threats. Our liberties-our rights. Do we even realize that they are being taken away? No. I don't think we do.

I see it like this:

Democrats have aging hippie ideals. That more programs can take care of more people. Helping the most needy is important work of the Government. But it must be paid for by high taxes.

Republicans want the Wealthy to have more freedom, while controlling more and more of everyday lives of the rest. It has becoming harder to move up in class under Republican rule.
