Did america have any proplems at the start and when do you think Iraq, Afghanistan,East temor and any other new democracies will settle down a bit

The difference would be that about 17% of the voters or legislature would have to change its mind in order to change the law; not just 1%.

Another effect would be fewer laws. Those that got passed would be better laws, of which people were more sure (i.e. two-thirds sure, and not just "barely half" sure).

Really think about it.
Most people's knee-jerk reaction is: "Everything will get repealed because it will only take a third!"
Well, no, it would still take a half to repeal, just like it takes now. That's the first thing I said.

(That means that in order to amend it, it would take 2/3 to pass the new version. They would already have the 1/2 necessary to repeal the old version, and could make it part of the same bill in order to be sure the new one would actually get passed).

You would have less total laws to remember, and you would be 17% more likely to agree with them. The way it is now is neither better nor as good.
So why not?

Personally, I think he is a horrible leader and person. I disliked him from day 1. According to the most recent approval rating though, there are still 40% of Americans who actual like him. Why?

Please, if you don't know, give your best guess.

First person who knows or guesses correctly, gets the points.

The correct answer can be found in the following newly released video documentary. It contains new never before seen video footage and inside details surrounding the tragedy. It's called:

9/11 Mysteries (Full Lengh. High Quality)

This is a brand new public domain 9/11 Truth documentary about the controlled demolition of the World Trade Center complex. It’s excellent. Pass this link on!

I find it so interesting that President Clinton was actually impeached after getting blown by Lewinsky. The Impeachment was a success BUT, the overall process was a FAILURE because he wasn't convicted of anything and even KENNETH STAR (prosecutor) claimed the whole fiasco was a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

However, considering how Bush lied to America about the reasons for the Iraq War, trumphed up charges against Saddam Hussein to justify going to war and is PRO TORTURE - just like Saddam (Bush is a hypocrite) - WHY HAS BUSH NOT YET BEEN IMPEACHED?

I'm guessing its because President Clinton was President when both the house of representatives and the congress were majority REPBLICAN while Bush enjoys a house and Congress filled with other fat, greedy Republicans - whose pockets he can keep filling with slush funds and back alley deals (i.e. HALIBURTON, LOCKHEED MARTIN, etc)

There are NO CHECKS AND BALANCES right now so whatever Bush pusheds forwards goes no matter how stupid.

(bear with me) if Bush were charged with treason, could Cheney issue a pardon before he left office?

What are your opinions on the fact that the US foot the bill for a large portion of the construction of the UN building, we sacrificed our land for the footprint, we pay over 20% of the annual overall budget (how many countries are members of the UN?), and the building lately is used to conspire against the United States of America?

If you do not live and pay taxes in the U.S., please answer to some other forum question.

I truly believe in free speeech. But, having people that have not been allies of the U.S. since before I was born building a platform of anti U.S. mentality on our own soil seems to me like opening the chicken house door for the fox. Free speech in the United States applies TAX PAYING U.S. citizens here legally, and who are not here to undermine us.

Non U.S. , non tax paying citizens do NOT reserve the right to OUR free speech, and thusly, are subject to the same criticism they so eagerly serve up to us.

I mean, Ashcroft, then Gonzales have pretty much cleared the way for him to do whatever he wants, due to being a war-time president, and the fact that this "war against terrorism" is 'different' (never mind the fact that he started it in the first place) just seems to expand his powers even more.

I wonder just how far those powers can reach, and is it possible that if he so wished, he could extend the number of terms a presiednt is allowed to remain in office from two to.....however many he wants?
