all that smoke was indicative of a fire starved for oxygen, therefore, the fire couldnt' have been that hot. Also, some firefighters were recorded as saying they could take out 2 isolated fires with two lines. on two floors
and the pancake theory? wouldn't all of the floors make a sandwich type spectacle on the bottom? The WTC basically disintegrated and fell into it's footprint with the basement blasted out. I don't believe jet fuel melted the steel frame to being down the WTC. It was probalby something else.
Oh and the second plane didn't even hit the tower squarely, it was off to one side of the building...and it fell first! How could it have hit the core to topple the building.....and why wasn't the entire site considered a crime scene with thousands dead?
about the jet fuel, ok let's say all this fuel brought down the towers..where was the fuel at the pentagon and on that pennsylvania field? those fires, especially in Shanksville, paled in comparison, to the WTC fires.
According to the experts, steel bends at high temps and wouldn't just melt like butter. and would that jet fuel melt the entire WTC frame structure?

Conspiracy theorist or anti conspiracy thoerist... the twin towers had unprotected trusses... the number one rule for engineers is that "do not trust trusses."... when you have trusses, all it takes for it to fail is an exposed joint... Some strucutural engineer actually took photos of the dilapidated state of the trusses that held the floor. There were not even covered properly and the architects in the past did not take a thing into consideration... when you place fire retardent material on rust, it breaks off leaving exposed steel.
The planes hit the core of the towers making the internal core support fail. THe building could have lasted more but since the architects did not even consider jet fuel, you need 1000 degrees celcius to soften steel and when steel is softened... say bye bye structure... The planes hit the towers right in to the core... take gravity and wallah... you have yourself the floor breaking down.

Although I think that there is something so wrong with what happened that day,yes, it is very possible that the jet fuel fire destroyed the WTC building...The kerosene,when burned, can reach a very high temperature that could have melt the building's structure...And the buildings could have collapsed under their own weight...

harry AKA has it right. you all spend WAY too much time listening to the Oliver Stone crowd.
it is a FACT that the towers were brought down by a combination of blunt structural damage and high temperatures created by burning aviation fuel weakening and finally melting improperly coated steel trusses.
the floors were AWASH in jet fuel! people were INCINERATED by burning jet fuel pouring down the elevator shafts to the base of the tower while waiting for the elevator!
grow up people. how messed in the head do you have to be to think our OWN GOVERNMENT would create this kind of destruction for political gain?!?!!!
