Yes!...and believe it or not the U.S. is the best. BY far. Other countries can't grasp the concept of democracy. That's why Iraq will never maintain a democratic society. It's a culture thing. They're so used to being ruled by one person, they don't understand anything else. After we leave,(if we ever do)they'll start killing their leaders again, until the one most powerful is left standing. We are trying to change their culture, which is also their religion. And it just ain't gonna happen. for long. They really don't want any part of us but our bombs tell them different. When we stop killing them , they'll go back to what they have been doing for thousands of years.

Capitalism is not strictly a type of government. Although governments and monetary systems are closely linked, they are not the exactly the same. We are capitalists (money policy) but our government is a republic/democracy. In comparison, the old soviet union had a socialist monetary structure, where Cuba is an example of a communist system. Although, it should be noted that none of these exist in a pure form, many have elements of other types of governments or monetary systems intermixed.

Absolutely! Governments that respect the rights of the individual to free speech, free religion, private property, and the right to travel freely, dress, speak and vote as he likes are far superior to those that don't. That would rule out any theocracies, dictatorships, etc., such as Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, the PRC, etc. -- I'm sure you can name many more.

Those governments that work to ensure liberty for all (this includes life and the pursuit of happiness) are better than those that work to ensure it for a few at the cost of the many.
