WHy hasn't Bush been IMPEACHED ? Is it because...?

I find it so interesting that President Clinton was actually impeached after getting blown by Lewinsky. The Impeachment was a success BUT, the overall process was a FAILURE because he wasn't convicted of anything and even KENNETH STAR (prosecutor) claimed the whole fiasco was a WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

However, considering how Bush lied to America about the reasons for the Iraq War, trumphed up charges against Saddam Hussein to justify going to war and is PRO TORTURE - just like Saddam (Bush is a hypocrite) - WHY HAS BUSH NOT YET BEEN IMPEACHED?

I'm guessing its because President Clinton was President when both the house of representatives and the congress were majority REPBLICAN while Bush enjoys a house and Congress filled with other fat, greedy Republicans - whose pockets he can keep filling with slush funds and back alley deals (i.e. HALIBURTON, LOCKHEED MARTIN, etc)

There are NO CHECKS AND BALANCES right now so whatever Bush pusheds forwards goes no matter how stupid.

Clinton WAS SUCCESSFULLY IMPEACHED - an impeachment is merely bringing of charges against an official. Impeachment is only a process but it is seperate from conviction.

Ok, Time for all the kids to grow up, here are the facts as told by the CIA.
Sadam Hussein was NOT supporting al-quida, which was the reason Bush gave for declaring war on Iraq. Al-zaquari was in fact being chased out of Iraq by Saddam.

Bush did trump up the charges on Saddam, because he lied about the reasons for the war. While Saddam did commit some atrocities (he needs to be on trial regardless) a few years back, They were no where near as bad as we were told. Bush also told us that we went into Iraq under the pretenses that Saddam has Weapons of Mass Destruction, yet we have no found a single tinniest bit of evidence that he was even researching it.

There have been several deals with Halliburton, However in light of the circumstances at the time, they were the only viable option to pick from, as they had the resources and were ready to go at a moments notice.

As of right now, There is not much of a system of checks and Balances, because All 3 branches of the Government are currently controlled by the republican party.

There, Now that the Facts are in the air, DEAL WITH THEM, do not bicker and nag at each other, these are the facts as told by the CIA, who I might add, ALREADY CONTRADICTED THE PRESIDENT!

Actually, Clinton was impeached because he lied under oath, not because of his lil bj. It amazes me how you think it's ok that one president lies, but accuse another of lying that hasn't.

We went into Iraq because of Saddam and we got him. We did find evidence of WMD's, which was the main purpose. No, we didn't find large quantities because they had time to hide them and get them out of the country. There was also a tie to al Qaeda in Iraq. There's much evidence of this from the Clinton administration. However, that's where the lil bj comes in. That was more important than keeping our country safe from terrorists. That's why we were attacked so many times on Clinton's watch. Now Bush is standing up to the terrorists and suddenly that's a bad thing. You have the torture confused. It's Saddam that tortured his people, not Bush. Saddam killed thousands of his own people just because the wanted to....they didn't agree with him. He had palaces and huge stashes of money while his own people starved, were uneducated, had no power and many other horrible things.

Perhaps you should do your checks and balances and figure out which is worse. Bush hasn't been and won't be impeached because there is no crime.

Bush should never have gotten back in office to begin with. You know the election was fixed! It's real funny now, too, that nobody admits to voting him in. Our whole governmental system needs an enema, a total cleaning out. We have carreer politicians who have been in office so long they are completely out of touch with the real issues in this country. Clinton was NOT impeached for "getting blown" as you so maturely put it. He was being accused of sexual harrassment and he LIED under OATH about his affair with Monica. His crime was PERJURY. Adultery is not a crime.
