Do you know anything that he stands for?

Or, are you just listening to the BS through mainstream media who already have "their" picks?

I mean....ALL of the viewer polls that I have seen have Ron Paul in at least second place...but yet...all they talk about are those three.

The talking heads on TV really ARE against him aren't they!!

Ron Paul must be doing some thing right for sure. His popularity seems to be sky rocketing. Past elections saw the "old line" voters solidly on the "main line" demo/repub ticket. Is representative Paul reaching a new voting segment? if he is it has to be coming from the "younger" voters, I mean what other voting segment is there? The only other possability is that the "old line" voters are getting fed up with the slash & attack "main line" canidates. Maybe EVERY BODY is just getting fed up with the same oh, same oh of the "main line" canidates? Maybe Ron Paul just seems more viable over all? What's your take on representative Paul's current popularity???

Seriously, why?

I'm a moderate and I've been watching the GOP and Democratic debates, but let me tell yo something, McCain and especially Guliani scare the **** out of me! Besides 9/11, what has Guliani done?

Give me some reasons why the GOP candidates dislike Ron Paul.

Having watched both the Democrats and Republicans debates on CNN, I was most impressed with two polar opposites, but as to each, for the same reason. Both Dennis Kucinich and Joe Biden (strange bedfellows to be sure) impressed me as the kind of people willing to part ways with political expediencies and declare a set of guiding moral principles as the hallmarks of their respective administrations if elected.

I want to be proud of my country again. In my view, America should stand for the highest of principles and regain its role as a beacon of morality and social justice in the darkness of this world. We should be exporting the American dream, not American jobs. And we should demonstrate to the world, through a dynamic and rubust economy benefitting all of our people, that we flatly reject as Un-American the European brand of socialism, for it is govenment of, by and for the feeble and uninspired. Those are my thoughts and I'd like to hear yours.

I saw there was way too much time given to only a few of the candidates and obvious questions only asked of certain ones.

Don't you think all deserve equal time and the right to answer the same questions.

There seems to be a fundamental split between big government types (of both parties) and that dogged Constitutionalist from Texas, Ron Paul. Paul would slash taxes, slash government, and take us back towards our Constitutional roots. All other candidates seem to be far more "moderate" or radically-inclined towards the opposite - MORE government control of your life.

So, have you had enough? Or do you want less (of your own money and control over your own life)?

I really wish some network would host such a thing. I would like to get a feel for how intelligent and knowledgable the candidates are. What do you think it would take to get that to happen?

I know it might be generalizing but whever I talk to a woman about politics and I mention a candidate they always ask me what are their views on abortion. In my opinion I think that militaristic operations and illegal immigrantions are WAY bigger issues. I'd just like to get your opinions on what you think are the two most important issues and to women why abortion is such a big issue to you. Thanks.

It is amazing to me that oil, one of the pillars supporting western society, is at serious risk of depletion and it doesn't seem to be as hot a topic of discussion by our elected leaders or candidates to lead us into the future. Has anybody with any power in Washington attempted to do anything to remedy this, besides our occupation of an oil rich country in the middle-east? I mean has anyone actually spoken of it openly in public and offered some actual leadership about what our country should do to soften the blow.

I heard that it was originally used because of the size of the country and the difficulty of getting info around quickly. We don't have that problem today, so why do we still use it? And why is it all or nothing? A state could be 51/49 and the 51 gets all the votes?? That just doesn't sound right at all. There have been elections where the popular winner loses the electoral vote. I think that is just plain wrong! Why is this system still in place?

Dear, Reader

If you as the reader had the choice, and you do, what would your choice be for the next president?

If you were a representative for the people close to you, who would the ideal president be?

What would you demand?

I ask these questions, because I always here it from many people coming from family, friends, or even the general public. They always argue amongst eachother asking "who would be the ideal president" or "how can we find a person like this" I would like to say that we need a great person of multiple traits, I do not believe it matters of race or sex, but of how devoted, tustworthy, hardworking, and optimistic this person is. I am not asking you as the reader to agree with me, as this is only my opinion. But that is all we have besides fact isnt it?

What I am asking of you all is to tell me of your ideal person, and hopefully the candidates for the 2008 election are reading...

Thank you,
Jake
