Didn't Edwards get a $400 haircut?
Didn't Gore burn more electricity than a Texas electric chair last year?
Doesn't Hillary always vote for the most popular soup of the day?

All multi-millionairs. Real Men of the People!

At least Bush never PRETENDS to be something he is not.

How do you democrats take them seriously?

The point of this question is to get you thinking who really runs our country.
Money, power and control is what moves our country forward. Nowhere in that equation does freedom and our rights fit in. In fact Power and freedom are antonyms.
With an increasingly conditioned society we are getting more and more complacent. We are being controlled by fear and pessimism.

Would such a huge victory imply that the historical presidencies were all sexist and racist? It seems to me that it's only a symbol of the equality that America represents but I see a lot of posts where race and sex are the only factor for some people to vote.

I want to be able to say, after a woman or minority figure became president, that this president was great because he represented the right policies and NOT for the MAIN reason that US stands up to its claim of equality but then realize that they were terrible presidents.

Does anyone agree or diagree? why?

Have you seen the outrages we do as outlined at:

For example, regardless of how people have voted in the referendum and plebiscites (which, by the way, the majority has voted for "decolonizing options" in the last two plebiscites), isn't it unfair and undemocratic that an individual that is a U.S. citizen is stripped from his right to vote in his national government just because he chooses to live in Puerto Rico

Why are we preaching democracy in the international arena while being hypocritical at home, or that's what it seems like, doesn't it?

ISN'T THIS LIKE SUPPORTING SLAVERY JUST BECAUSE WE MAKE BELIEVE THAT THE DEPENDANT SLAVES REALLY PREFER TO BE SLAVES, BECAUSE "THEY HAVE IT GOOD, AND WE HAVE THE WHITE MAN'S BURDEN OF FEEDING THEM FOR FREE?

ISN'T THAT THE WORSE OF AMERICA, ISN'T THAT THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT WE FOUGHT FOR IN THE WAR OF INDEPENDENCE, IN THE REVOLUTION OF 1776?

WHAT HAVE WE DONE, AMERICA?

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO SOLVE THIS?

I know it sound like I am being a jerk, but he was raised in Mexico for the first 14 years of his life and one of his parents is a Mexican Citizen. I heard the only reason he can be run for President is his mother came across the border for about 8 hours to give birth to him. Does this worry anyone else?

Every democrat candidate, except for Obama, voted for the Iraq war back in 2003. What makes them any different from Bush? I believe Obama is the best choice for the president at this time.

I've had a chance to really look at all the candidates on where they stand on issues that directly affects me and my family; and Barack (to me) is a cut above the rest by far. I'm not opening this up for Republicans to bash me over thier line-up or how could I endorse Barack or do I want to hear other Democratic friends to spin me on thier candidate cause I'm SOLD 100%. I just want to see what the world thinks.....

You have 50 approximately normally distributed samples, both measuring a value between 0 and 100, and two methods of measuring them.

One of the methods (let's call it the Election Result Method, ERM) is supposedly perfect as it gathers all of the data. The other is a sampling of the data (let's call it the exit poll method, EPM) which has a margin-of-error about plus or minus 1 percent*.

In thirty of these cases (the anomolous cases), the ERM yielded a result outside the confidence interval of the EPM. Twenty-six of the cases gave a value above the confidence interval, while 4 of the cases gave a value below the confidence interval.

Missing info includes:
1) What confidence interval was used in determining the margin of error?
2) How many and which of the 30 anomolous cases resulted in a change between 49 and 51%
3) Probably most important--is there a public list of all the data involved somewhere to torture a 500 level stats class with?

the American hockey team "didn't have a chance" against the Russians in the 1980 Olympics, or that Boise State "didn't have a chance" against Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl (greatest game ever played!!)?

I think the main reason Ron Paul is considered by many to "not have a chance" is because those people who say that won't give him a chance. If they voted in what they really believed - Ron Paul would win easily.

What do you think?

(And if you're one of those idiots who says "Ron Paul is a nut" - give us concrete examples of why you think that... otherwise, you're just a blowhard.)

...why don't we for each election, just randomly assign the order?

Our current 'solution' is to frontload all of the primaries which means only wellfunded candidates have a chance.

If we spread out the primaries, then underfunded (yet qualified) candidates have a chance to gain momentum. Since different states would get to go first each election, then no state will get to go first all of the time (like Iowa and New Hampshire).

Thoughts?

Just listening to John Murtha on ABC This Week. He says the terrorists are in place because we are in Iraq, and he believes they will leave us alone if we leave.
He mumbled it all in a more fruitcake way, but that was the jist of it.
With the fact that 9-11 happened before we were in Iraq, and the guy that wanted to blow up JFK says he thought up the idea 10 years ago...what is his stance based on?
This guy is worse than my wife. He would rather br right than to be happy.
I personally dont care if the guy ends up right about something, but on this matter, he is SO wrong it has gotten him on national TV.
OK, lets say we all leave Iraq, and turn our heads to all the problems that follow...do the left wingers think the terrorists are going to stop being bad people and go out and get regular jobs?

Do you think a man who talks about his own heavy drug use and always looking for some blow in his book could be trusted to be the president. There are flashbacks and halucinations that come back later in life should we ever take that kind of chance?
