Former Senator Mike Gravel. Hes the one who did a one-man filibuster in the Senate for 5 months in 1971 and forced the end of the draft. Hes firmly opposed to another one.

He also has just released his Withdrawal from Iraq Act, which is a tough act that would require tough tactics to be made into law.

None of the Congressional Democrats are touching it though, because they want to keep the war going so they can use it against the Republicans. Sure sure, they pass these weak non-binding resolutions that are ignored and then they act surprised when Bush vetoes their timetable bills, but they know what theyre doing. Bush said over a year ago that he would not get us out of Iraq as long as he was in office. If any of the Democrats were serious about ending the war, they would be working their asses off to get it done!

But no, they see a guaranteed political win in all this carnage and destruction, and I think thats disgusting. Gravel is the only one with any integrity and any principles.

And let me tell you something, I dont trust any of the other Democrats (except maybe Kucinich) to end the war. Especially not Clinton, I wouldnt trust her with a dog I didnt like.
