I'm supporting former Senator Mike Gravel. You may remember him (if youre old enough) as the junior Senator from Alaska in 1971 who did a one-man filibuster in the Senate for 5 months and forced the end of the military draft.

Hes running for President as a Democrat. Why am I supporting him? A few reasons:

1) He wants to get us the hell out of Iraq immediately and use aggressive diplomacy with Syria, Jordan, Iran, and Saudi Arabia to end the civil war that we started in Iraq.

2) He wants to empower the American people to become lawmakers by using ballot initiatives at the Federal level. People in 24 states and over 200 communities across the country already make laws through ballot initiatives. Why cant we do this at the Federal level and have a government that TRULY represents the people, instead of representing corporations and special interest groups.

3) He wants to get rid of the unconstitutional Income Tax (and the IRS) and replace it with the Fair Tax. The Fair Tax is a national sales tax with a prebate to help out poor people. Our current tax code is so corrupted and riddled with exceptions that there is not one person in the whole country who knows and understands the entire tax code!!! Not one! So many corporations and special interest groups have lobbied for exceptions and favors from the Congress that right now, in Gravel's own words; "Its probably the most corrupt system of taxation we could devise!"

Those are just three reasons. You can check out his campaign website if you want to read more about those issues I mentioned and others. I'll also give you some video links.

Probably vote for Ron Paul if I had to vote right this minute, being that I agree with him on the issues more than I do most of the rest.

I will vote for the Republican nominee on general election day, unless that nominee is McCain, then I will vote third party.

I would vote for Ron Paul, because he's a constitutionalist and is largely opposed to the military industrial complex that Dwight D. Eisenhower warned us about before he left office.

The rest of those criminals are a joke. If Ron Paul wasn't in the running I would throw my vote away by voting for Homer Simpson or Bugs Bunny I think.

Regrettably, U.S. Representative Duncan Hunter from California is not a candidate, but if he were he'd most assuredly get my vote. Absent him, Fred Thompson, former Senator from Tennessee.

I just learned about a guy named Duncan Hunter who sounds pretty good. I'd want to know more about him before I decide for sure, but what I've seen so far, I like.

Zaphod Beeblebrox!!
Zaphod is hedonistic and irresponsible, self-centered almost to the point of solipsism, and often extremely insensitive to the feelings of those around him.
