You're right! Ignore the asinine comments that have been posted so far. They are probably high school students still embedded with prejudicial notions from their parents or friends. Obama CARES...he wants to make our country better and he would work his butt off for us. I have followed him since 2004, read both his books, and am impressed. He helped improve many things in the inner cities of Chicago and has proposed some new plans (health care, etc.) that are solid. People that can't see this were against him from the start; many of these ignorant people really don't understand what his ideologies encompass. Obama 2008!!!
By the way...he is doing very well in the debate that I am currently watching. He is stepping it up and has his A-game on!!

People like you have no concept of how much someone like me pays in taxes. I own a small business in New York State! Tax Capital of the country and run by Liberals who do nothing for the poor except create more poverty. Wake up. The welfare state is not the answer. It's the problem. I would easily hire more people if I were not so overburdened by this rhetoric. The Democrats take my tax dollars and give it to their friends, and for some reason Liberals believe that's not the case. Both parties are the same, but Republicans take less.

I'm a strong Democrat , but I just don't think America is ready for a African American President, yet. He wouldn't be able to carry any southern states because the Republicans have left the 80 yr/ old men with cancer that belonged to the K K K alone until election year and now they arresting the 80 year old men that killed some of Black Men and putting them in prison to die of cancer at 80 and up. Wonder why they waited this long until the old men dying in wheel chairs with cancer alone, seems awfully timed to me., because they are so disliked by America because of old Bush and their using this to keep the south. hmmnnn Your wrong Black people don't vote for their race because they say a white man is behind him and they will get less benefits

I see him as a good candidate. because he is 1) a minority, 2) that name sounds Muslim or I think he has some Muslim background. If we where to elect a person like that then it may lower animosity that others have on us. Especially the middle eastern people wink wink. It says, we don't hate you we just don't like our buildings blowned to pieces. Or it was all Georgy's fault.
The thing against him is that he is too young and inexperience.

I'm a Republican and I don't want to bash you. I can tell you Barak has an ideology that is nearly 180 degrees from me (even more than Hillary)
Hope that helps!

If you think black mayors are fair, black governors are always fair in hiring...vote with your heart. Personally, I wonder how Obama dropped Islam for Christianity...and NOBODY wanted him dead. Islam is like the mob...you join for LIFE...Lots of Muslims would convert if they didn't know what happened to the ones who have gone Christian or Buddaist or anything else.

I believe we should really take a look at what it means to be a 'politician'
To me it's the same as being a tap dancer.
Just look at Nancy Pelosi.Wasn't she going to be a new type of politician?
Isn't she just another politician?
Don't set yourself up for more heartache.

If you are 100% sold, what difference does it make what the world thinks?
Your question is stated in a way that says tell me what you think, but don't disagree with me.....totally lacking in authentic inquiry, in my opinion.
And for the record: I think he possibly has potential for the future, but he is too unseasoned and inexperienced at this point.

if i had to pick a democrat it would be him.
why?
because he is black and it will show the black community that they have the potential to do great things and be successful.
if a black man in the white house cant improve the black culture then nothing will.
