I think women like Margaret Thatcher and the Queen Mary's and Elizabeth's have shown that a female can rule a nation. However, Hillary Clinton is not my first choice. I prefer to wait for a future candidate of the XY persuasion to become the first female President of the US.

Thats a no brainer . YUK !!!!!!
The middle easterners already look up women as being second class citizens, and they already hate the US, just think what they're gonna do to us when a woman takes the charge.

No way. Voting Hillary in makes about as much sense as voting Obama in. He just might be a member of a sleeper cell for alkada. They live here for decades sometimes........you know.

Us females are more emotional than males, so sometimes we can't do the right things that a male can; but if the right female came than I would like her to be president. As for Hillary Clinton, definally not! I absolutely dislike her.

Not Hillary Rodham Clinton! She is, in my opinion, one of the most two faced politicians we currently have in goverment.

While I do think it possible that a woman could be president, Clinton certainly isn't the one.

I'm all for a woman being President, especially Hillary.

This country has been ran by men for the past 200 years. It's time for change. Though the name Clinton isn't change, she is. It's time for us to wake up and realize that for (then) the past 8 years, we were being royally screwed. Hillary is the only one that's ready for the job and what it'll be thrown at her.

Having a female president or a black president will be a step in the right direction for America. This is because many Americans are still racially and sexually biased. It takes "proof" of competency at the highest office to dispel these biases. Years ago, in sports, many biased sportswriters held the opinions that blacks could excel athetically but not as coaches. This was later proved to be false as more black coaches got opportunities and later began to show success at the highest levels. The same firsts will be necessary in the white house before we can all learn to not consider race or sex in these matters.

Of course it will be imperative that whoever gets elected does a good job and strives to keep the focus on the country's issues, not his or her own race or sex. Personally I wouldn't be opposed to a male or female of any race as long as the country's welfare is placed above all other consideration. A Mexican women or Asian guy wouldn't matter to me as long as the job gets done correctly. Of course by law they would have to be American born. But that is one of the great things about America, is its diversity. All people of all races are called Americans if they were born or naturalized here. Margaret Thatcher was elected in the UK in 1975. Many middle-eastern countries that we consider to be backwards have had female heads of state so it is we here who are behind on this.

Many people are critical of Hillary including liberals. I personally think the conservatives are afraid of getting their butts kicked again by another Clinton. Many liberals think she leans too far to the right. Currently I like Obama but I wouldn't be opposed to Hillary if she won the nomination. At least not based on her gender. Issues are what is important.

I'm alright with a female President as long as it's *not* Mrs. Bill Clinton, *not* Nancy Pelosi, *not* someone like Olympia Snow, Barbara Boxer, or Diane Feinstein!

I have absolutely no problem with a female prez. In fact I think it would actually be pretty cool. However Hillary is not what I had in mind. She can't successfully run a marriage let alone a country.

A female president would be awesome, though I'm not in love with Hillary. I'd prefer someone more straight forward and honest who doesn't have a chip on her shoulder.
