I think Ron Paul has a distinct advantage with younger voters because they tend to be idealistic and haven't become tired of trying to fight the established corruption.
The processes in Washington for getting your party in power, keeping it in power, and bringing home the pork, are well established. Someone like Ron Paul doesn't cooperate with this process. This doesn't sit well with the political leadership, but people with the energy and the integrity to care, like him a great deal.
I'm not young any more, but I am an idealist and I love the fact there's someone I can support who seems to have the integrity to follow the Constitution once he's sworn an oath to do so. His record proves it.

So far the Primaries and Caucuses have been in areas where Conservatism is strong. However, put Ron Paul in states like California, Nevada and Maine, where voters are more moderate and independents and Democrats can vote, then Ron Paul has a good chance of winning. The next Primary is Florida. Ron Paul won't win there, because Florida has a closed Republican primary, only registered Republican can vote, not Democrats and Independents, which make up a large number of his base. But come February, like I mentioned before, he has a good shot in Nevada.

There are two answers to this overall question. Yes, hes is reaching the younger and Yes he is having an effect on the "older" generation. Now comes the real question...why?
Ron Paul, while not covered in the main stream media where he should be getting huge attention, is being covered laregly by the internet. This is what is drawing in the "younger" generation votes. These are the tech savy people who use the net to keep up with their daily news rather then the newspaper and TV. They are the ones "on the go" and dont have time for the main stream media to slow them down. They get their news at their finger tips whenever they want.
The "older" generation is finally seeing the truth for whta it is. That government politicians suck. They constantly lie, cheat and do whatever it is they can do so they can become fat cats. People are getting tired of this lying and cheating etc.
A government will expand and grow to the point where it will hurt the general populist. Once they go beyond the hurt phase and into the great pain phase there is usually a revolution of some kind or another. Our government has just about hit this time and the "older" generation of voters are tired of it. They see its time to do something about it and are looking toward Ron to be their savior.
With all that in mind, lets look toward the future and see what will take place shoudl Ron not win the election. Hhmmmmmm, first government will continue to expand under Bush and whomever wins, especially if its the dems. We will have more wars to fight as this is the main financial engine of government. They will cause these wars while saying we have to step up seurity...what a crock...but people will believe it at first but once they see the real intrusion into their lives they will want a change....how will they get it?
Our sovereingty will dissapate at home. A north American union will be formed so that we can remian competitive with other countries. We will be told that this will get rid of the immigration from below and strengthen our economy with the help from above. The super highway between Canada and Mexico will start to be developed and the new currency (the amero) will come into being. All of this will be accetped by the people until we start having UN troops on our soil to enforce the new laws...that will be the straw that breaks the camels back and then they will want chnage....how will they get it?
The housing market will decline, this part has already begun. The dollar will become worthless as governments overseas shed our bonds on the open market, this part has already begun. Foreign countries will want to buy US soil in exchange for the bonds that cant sell, they will want ports of entry first so they have a way to get their goos into this country, this part has already begun. The federal reserve will collapse, price of gold and silver will sky rocket and this country will be plunged into a depression the like never seen before on this earth. This apparently is about to happen as gold is starting to move up and silver already has begun its move. Watch silver to reach 100 or so per once within the next few years.
Does this paint too bleak a picture?? If so...all you readers might want to get out there and put a libertarian in office now. Before its too late.
The truth has now been told - fore warned is fore armed.

Yes it is mainly younger voters but he gets a lot of support from people that pay close attention to what is going on in Washington. People who understand what is wrong with the CFR, Federal Reserve and other unconstitutional things being shoved down our throats.
Please if you care for this country DO NOT go for these main candidates that the news channels are pushing. They are ruining our country and destroying our soveirgnty and rights.

He has close to 10,000 friends on Myspace. There are a lot of younger voters on their. Add him as a friend if you haven't already. The youth today are more tuned into politics than the youth of yesterday. They could be compared to the youth of the sixties.

He does have an incredible amount of popularity online. You don't really see it in the media, because people like Giuliani instead of him for some reason even though he uses 9/11 for political gain.

I sure hope so. I am tired of getting presidents that are bought and paid for by the corporate corruption that begins before the campaigns do. Anybody that is second tier and below would be a safer bet than the top tier candidates.

We are just tired of all the BS. He is refreshing. All the other candidates have their cue cards from all other debates that have been held in the past 50 years.
We are tired of being lied to.
We are tired of all the BS.
We are tired of politicians NOT taking care of the American people.
We are just tired.
