Elections - December 2006

[Selected]: All categories Politics & Government Elections

Remember, Congress prevents Bush from accomplishing much, but he stands for good things, morals. If you vote Democrat, we're all going to pay bad for those next four years! Can you imagine the agony of 4 years under Hillary??? Nancy Polosi is a good indicator of what Hillary would bring! Notice how after this last election when the Dems became the majority, the economy is already spiralling downward? So... are you with me ..... REPUBLICAN?

John Edwards and Barack Obama are two of the most well spoken and charasmatic democrats around. America needs a change like them.

This guy really interests me. A republican turned democrat winning a Senate seat in a republican state. Is that an accomplishment or what? I think Webb will affect our government in a very positive way. This guy has the credentials and earned the respect to be listened to by everyone. I think he could rise to become an American president if he acts upon what he preaches. In my opinion, he is one of the people that has the ability to unite people. Any thoughts?

This could be any election, but presumably a national election for the political leader of your country.

Do you get swayed by the personality of someone? Would you rather have someone who looks nice and talks like a friend over someone who gets the job done, who makes improvements in your country, even if they might be ugly and seem to be someone that could never be your friend?

It's not like you need to be friends with the leader anyway.

I would be the first pretty president. Maybe even the first gay president. I would attempt another tax cut to lower unemployment and create lots of jobs for everyone. I would allow the people of America to vote as young as 13. Then I would legalize gay marriages in all 50 states. Legalize escort services in 4 new states: Nebraska, Michigan, New Jersey, & Florida. To keep the retired population from overpopulating to working class, I would raise the retirement age to 70. It has to be done in order to keep the money going. If the retirement population goes up, so does unemployment. I would probably soften up the military though. Instead of gray or camaflage, our soldiers would have pink uniforms and weapons. I would enforce hugs and kisses to end wars and make everyone love eachother. We'd have a holiday in August called National Affection Day where we'd share feeling and love. Of course I'd make a lousy president cuz it's a lot of work.

Are elections really suitable for a category of people that require such specific qualificiations? If so how would we go about organsing judicial election; how would they 'work' as it were?
