Elections - December 2006

[Selected]: All categories Politics & Government Elections

As it is true, I personally do not approve of George W Bush. I did not vote for him, either. However, if GW had not been voted into office, John "Ketchup" Kerry would have been. We had to vote for the lesser of two evils. How else could we resolve this problem, when we have no option?

Assume Clinton is elected in '08. Does everyone realize that would mean from 1989 until at least 2012, two families, the Bush's and Clinton's, would have occupied the Oval Office?

When we are all honest with ourselves we know who is good and who is in it for themselves.
If you can't be honest you are lost and useless.
No one died when clinton lied! Bull!
The dems always have catchy one liners, shallow but catchy, a good hook for impressionable youths easily swayed and good for a vote.
But how do you explaine adults who supported clinton throught thick and thin and agreed with all he did then, but today they like the position that there never was any WMDs just to say something bad about the Bush Administration.
It is their filp flopping, John Kerry like, unwillingness to make and take a stand that exposes them as the irrational party members that they are.
The nonsensical issues that sway people astound me, Kerry & Edwards touted they had the best hair, and don't think for a minute that there were not people out there whos vote was based on looks. God help us if Fabio and Anna Nicole Smith run because the clinton supporters would not know who to nominate!

Are general elections held every two or four years, for example? Or are elections called whenever the government feels the need?
Thanks.

At the moment opinion polls have been really close between labour and conservatives. If Gordan Brown does well maybe labour could see another term. Or do you think the liberal democrates might stand a chance?

With the exception of people who have retired, are genuinely disabled, ( or care for someone who is disabled), people who are permanently unemployed contribute nothing to the nation, why then should they be able to take part in elections?

bothered to get out and vote against him? Or maybe it just seems like it. Are there a lot of complainers of age who didn't even vote, if so, then you contributed to the reelection and shouldn't complain because you didn't choose at all so must have been content with other peoples choice.

Yes I did actually vote.
