Mrs. Clinton for president...yea or nae?

what do you think about finally having reputible female and black candidates and who do you think would win?

I cannot understand the strong reaction of my own sex against one of our own running for office. If you are listening you will find Mrs. Clinton to be extraordinarily intelligent and a forthright woman. A politician, yes, but a good one. On a personal note, when our family experienced a horrible personal tragedy that required the interference of someone with clout, not one of my state's elected male officials offered anything more than sympathy. Mrs. Clinton and her staff stepped up to the plate and her name carried weight !

When I ask people why they are so angry at her, I hear "because she stayed with Bill". That's a horrible reason to discount such a vibrant woman. No matter what we think about Bill's dallying, they are both excellent and loving parents to their child. Her personal life carries no weight on her ability to effectively run the country, as it has not daunted any male before her.

When the French heard the Americans were all aghast over Bill's tryst, they laughed at us and said if their president could not handle his wife, his mistress and the country, he wouldn't be their president. I hate it when the French are right.

I have always been a right leaning voter, but don't vote straight ticket, as I like to vote for the candidate and not the party. I would certainly like to see reputable female or minority candidates elected, we need to move WAY past the white male dominated leardership here in America. I don't think Hillary Clinton is it though. There are plenty of folks (as is in evidence here from preceding posts) that would vote for her without thinking because she is a woman or a Democrat, but I could not because she has credibility problems and I disagree with her on lot's of issues. Her behavior while her husband was in the White House, and since then has soured me. The same could be said for our current Chief executive also. She may run, and might even win, but I am not betting (or voting) that she will.

If we are looking for a qualified woman, Kay Bailey Hutchinson from TX is far more qualified for theOval Office than Mrs. Clinton is. KBH is the 4th ranking Republican Senator at this time. I don't think she has intentions of running though. I believe she has her eye on the Governors Office in TX.

Though I would never vote for her, Pelosi is also far more qualified than Clinton is. She will be, in fact, the first Woman to reach the position of Speaker of the House.

Clinton just has the name and coat tails of her husband that makes her popular, not more qualified. Other than 1 term as a Senator, I don't know of any other offices she held, other than First Lady. The only qualifications for that are to be married to someone who won the Governor Seat or Presidency.

I have no problem at all voting for a reputable African-American or female for president. However neither Hillary or Obama are reputable. I would vote for NEITHER.

And how did Hillary get out of thet real estste / murder mess in Ark? Never heard anything else about that. Kinda shady to me.

By the way... KFC ran a Hillary Special recently... 2 small breasts, 2 fat thighs and 1 left wing. Nobody ordered it.

I have to admit that at one time Mrs. Clinton was an intriguing candidate, she may have lost her luster. I think that a lot of people, myself included, would like to see Billy Boy back in the limelight. On the topic of "black" candidates, I think that Barak Obama could prove to be a worthy candidate.

It is good. US says many words of women and equality, but they never given women due place at higher places. They are men-dominated societies basically. Let us hope US may have first women President and Mrs Clinton would get a chance. She deserved more than Clinton himselves. She showed magnamity when Clinton was in the deep probles due to his affair with his staff member.

No. I love Bill, and he was a good president, but Hillary won't win. The candidate to watch on the Dem side is Sen John Edwards. Barack and Hillary are just things the media likes to talk about to keep themselves busy on the air.

I don't think Hillary will make it to the White House, too many people don't trust her. I am a Republican, which means I don't care what gender or race the candidate is, just that they are sincere and I agree with what they believe in. I'd vote for Condi Rice in a heartbeat.

that said let's consider, hillary hid bank records her husbands business partner was murdered under suspicious circumstances. she has lied to senate investigators. married to a criminal. these views have nothing to do with liberal politics or sex in the whitehouse. it's all about crime. isn't it time we got rid of the criminals in washington? let's not promote this behavior.

i know nothing of obama. no one else does either. it's a sure bet if he makes a run for the whitehouse he has dirty money behind him.

i'm still laughing about all the people who thought that kerry would be a savior. no one stopped to wonder about the connections there. cousins! how can american voters be so blind?

I wouldn't mind seeing a woman President....but not her.
She's to unpredictable and a Democrat...not a good combination.
I'd like to see a black person become President one day too.
Maybe someone like Colin Powell.
But I don't think the country is ready for that. The sad truth is, he'll probable be assassinated soon after being elected.
But who ever we vote for it shouldn't be about popularity.
It should be about who we really think is best for the job.
