Where do yall think the presidential library should be:
SMU (Southern Methodist University)
Baylor
University of Dallas

My vote goes to SMU. Beautiful college, they have the land, and Laura Bush went there.

C-span made two requests:

1) Can C-span use their own cameras as they see fit?

2) Can C-span record all votes electronically so the general public can access them on a weekly basis?

Pelosi's answer: 1) No.
2) She will think about it

Was C-span out of line?
Was Pelosi seeking to be transparent and open which she promised during the elections for Democratic candidates?

Whose interest is being served, Pelosi or the people who elected her candidates?

It seems when the republicans are in power, there is more support for Israel? However, when it comes to elections, it seems more Jews vote for democrats then republicans. Maybe I am wrong, but that is what I understand?

Nearly everywhere I go on the Internet, I hear people complain about British politics or the politics of their home nation.
That is their right, their freedom and I am not going to attack that. Never.
However, that is what most people just do. Complain. Some complaints are so vicious I find myself thinking "why bother?"
If some of these people are so fed-up, why are they sitting at home doing nothing?
Democracy gives them a chance to vote in and vote out governments. If people actually voted and took time to look behind the smoke-screen then half the problems would just go.
Democracy allows people to organise their own political parties, get elected either on a national or local level and actually changes things for the better.
So, my question to everyone, both complainers and non-complainers:

If you're really that fed-up and annoyed with how things are where you live, why do you not do something about it and either vote or get yourselves elected and do things properly?

We were doing fine for decades with paper ballots, punch cards or the lever machines.

The 2000 fiasco in Florida was an anomaly, not just one of a series of problems.

Rudy Giuliani seems to be the main republican candidate, but he is very liberal for his party, especially when it comes to social issues. Will you still vote for him?

Okay we had Al Gore and John Kerry, enough said. No there's Barrack Obama and Hilary. Hilary is pure evil, and is less popular then Bush, she is cold and isolates voters in middle America. Obama is unexperienced, only votes party lines, and only tells people what they want to hear, on top of that, the media treats him like he's the savior (we as Amercians should always be skeptical of what the media tells us to believe). Okay, these two don't look like very good candidates but they're the best two! Do the democrats have anyone else, that is electicible for 2008? Why must they keep shooting themselves in the foot?

Since World War II, no party, after holding office for 8 years has be able to win again except the 1st Bush because he was part of teh Reagan administration. Almost always does it switch control to the other party. With George W. and is reputation will it ever happen?
