I`m guessing this question is a trick? If we had a "real" government there would NOT be 100,000 innocent people "Wrongly convicted" in state and federal prisons! Corruption would not be "Rampant" and the poor would be fed and housed! I`m sorry, what was your question?

If we had no government system, within 72 hours one would naturally develop, whether for good or ill.

Hierarchical systems seem to be built into humans. Any group of more than 3 people, and somebody becomes a de facto leader. May be a bully, may be a good person, but someone WILL take control. It's the whole Alpha Male thing. Humans crave social order and control, even if that system is corrupt or inefficient.

If there were no government, most likely you would have a sort of tribal (or gang) system appear, where groups of 50 to 100 (approximately) people would band together for self-protection and community production. And someone would become leader, whether elected or not. And it might not even be obvious. "Let's go ask George what he thinks, he is the oldest after all..."

The purpose of a govt. is to keep order in a society. Before governments, we didn't have anarchy--we had social groups like tribes and ethnicity to tie us to one another. People often overlook how special the US is: we have no ethnic identity, only a social identity based on being American. That was unique in the history of the world.

If we suddenly had no government, if, say, Washington was wiped off the planet, there would be a period of unrest, but our cultural ties to each other would bind this country together. That's also the good thing about democracy, the goverment is not in a place, a governing body, or even a people--but in an idea. It is a kind of faith we have in each other to depend on in times of need.

I think the order and balance of power would have to be reestablished, but ultimately we would emerge as strong, if not stronger than before.

We saw the answer to this question play out twice in recent history:

Katrina

The total failure of the Government led to crooked law enforcement, looting, dead bodies in the street, the old, the young and the weak or unarmed threatened, killed, raped, etc.

Iraq

Total dissolution of their Government caused the same reactions as Katrina. Widespread lawlessness, looting, etc.

Unfortunately the scenario is not pretty and does not take long to develop. The criminal element never misses a chance to run amok, and even those who are normally law abiding can be tempted into stupidity if they think that there is little or no chance for them to have to pay for their crimes.

all the goverment progams would not be there including
printing money -we would be trading and bartering
no roads, no internet,
of course, with the barter system,
a lot of big buisness would be impossible.

you'd have no protection against criminals,
right now, even though there is a lot of crime,
the fear of being caught and locked up stops a lot of people before they start.
