I think he is a very viable candidate for the democratic party. If you are a neo-conservative, no need to insult us. I wasn't asking for your opinion

Most of the time the people only seem to show an interest if it affects them directly. No one gave that as a reason when I asked why they don't vote, so now I'm asking for people to give me their views on the two main answers, apathy and "sameness".

I should explain that I am a local Councillor (Conservative), I work hard in my ward to get people interested and to explain why they should be interested. I knock on doors, send letters, write and distribute newsletters/surveys (not at taxpayers expense). I've helped many people in my ward and been active on Council issues generally. I was re-elected last May. I'd add that if you met and compared the Councillors I know you'd see they are very definitely not the same on all counts.

be the end of them? I mean, when Bill took office they had everything. By the time he left the Republicans had everything, for the first time in bazillion years, for 6 whole years. (I don't think having all three, House, Senate, and White House has turned out well, but that's another issue.) In '06 Democrats got back a small majority in House and Senate. But now will Hillary blow that like Bill and finish off the Democrat Party?

The vast majority of political seats in this country have no limits on how many terms one can serve, this goes from congress all the way down to your city council, and even your board of education. This was not the way our country was origianally set up. somewhere along the years from our founding, rules were changed so that elitists could remain in control of government nationwide, the origianal intent of public service was to be elected, serve without pay or benefits, and return to your everyday life, look at it now, it's appalling. The only way to combat something like this is to vote anyone who has served more than 2 terms in any seat of government out. They don't have limits, so we impose them, we vote, we can change this.

I am a republican and will admit he has not done this country well. He has in my opinion assured the Democrats they will put the next President in office. I am not going to say I think he was the worst. I want your opinion. I personally think the people around him made bad choices that made him look bad. He chose poor advisors.
