That's what it amounts to.

Sure we have free elections, but do this little drill with your friends and see if it reminds you of how you feel in the voting booth.

As everyone what their favorite beverage is - it can be anything - after all, this is the land of the free.

After everyone has answered tell them all that they misunderstood, and that they can have any beverage they want as long as it's Coke or Pepsi.

This is the level of choice offered to American voters...

I know this question was asked a few weeks ago, but now that Edwards is officially running and Obama is officially considering it, how does it look to you?

Personally, I think the party and the country need this kind of new blood. Maybe then Mayer and his fans will stop "waiting". :)

I'm doing an essay- "The Electoral College Should Be Abolished"

One of my points is because it is an extra cost to the candidate-- it wastes money...Can anyone help me expand? Thank you!

The Electoral College’s purpose is an extra cost to the candidates. With the existence of the College, a candidate has to go through all voting statistics and decide which areas to campaign in. When he decides, he has to spend unnecessary money on traveling, advertising, and other campaigning strategies that he would not need if the Electoral College did not exist.

I don't want to know if you think someone else is more qualified or want statements like "John McCain in '08," I just want to know who you would choose between the two candidates and why.

Do you think Barack Obama can win the 2008 presidential election? Why or why not?

Also, what steps do you think he needs to take in order to be a successful candidate? (Does he need to come up with a plan to carry out his ideas? Does he need to be stronger on foreign policy?)

Also, who will be his strongest opponent?

What, exactly, do die-hard Republicans NOT understand about the a*s*s* whoopin' they took in the mid-terms? Even Rove knew there'd be some major damage control, although he was spinning till the bitter end.

How were the mid-terms NOT a refutation and rejection of what had been happening politically for several years?

Now, the Democrats STILL might manage to screw up a golden opportunity, but how do you Reps NOT get the message? The people voted. You lost severe yardage.

Its about time someone with psychic abilities leads this country. A man with his power is certainly an asset as he can communicate with the dead…possibly w/ the suicide bombers to get more insight as to why they are doing it
