There are many reasons that Gore lost in 2000. Some are:
1. he could not win his own state of Tennessee,
2. He did not win West Va, which was dominantly Democratic because of his environmental political stances,
3. He did not win New Hampshire while sweeping all other New England states,
4. The vote in Florida was flawed,
5. the Supreme Court voted 5-4 against him while really staying out of the states business which might be correct constitutionally,
6. if Gore did any one of these 5 things except #4 he would have won electorally as well as popularly.

Socrates is ideal, Nader took votes that would favor to have went to Gore, fantastically in New Hampshire, which Gore would have received if Nader replaced into not on the pollthere/ Gore would have received the election 270-267.

He invented the internet, but did not utilize it. Clinton fatigue and a guy called Ralph Nader didn't help either. Al Gore is shaking a dimpled chad at you in anger.

Kathryn Harris, the Florida Secretary of State, convinced the Republican/conservative US Supreme Court that it was counter-productive to re-count all the ballots, even though an estimated 11,500 ballots were "lost". Bush only won FL by alittle more than 500 votes. Even tho' Gore won more than 500,000 votes than Bush, Bush was elected because he had acquired the 271 votes necessary to be president.

Partly, "Clinton fatigue" and the fact that Hillary Clinton attracted campaign contributions away from Gore's campaign.

So, if you hate Bush, remember - it's all the Clintons' fault!!!
