Thank's to the guarantees of our constitution - putting a Marxist candidate into the President's office won't mean we'll have a Marxist government. He or she will still have to answer to the Republican or Democratic controlled congress, and any of his vetos will be subject to being overturned. NOTHING he could do in office short of a revolution, would change our constitution.

That being said, while much of the Marxist ideology is appealing - everyone shares all of the burdens and benefits of society while bowing to conformity - this is not a realistic philosophy. It did not work in Eastern Europe, and appears to be gradually transitioning away in many asian countries. A Marxist has a snowballs chance in hell of getting elected in the USA, unless he runs under another party label (extreme liberal Democrat?).

Naw that stuff is silly. We do not to have better candidates from the major political parties and maybe it would be time for a third party that is more moderate. The county is moderate and votes for the better candidate or the least harmful and that is why we have Rep and Dem Presidents even though the vast majority of voters are Dems. I think the Dem Party has lost its center and does not represent more than just a few power interest groups.
