Absolutely....

If he was well educated, could speak in complete sentences, and had a very good background...I would in a heartbeat.

The color of your skin does not make you a good or bad person...

Look at Bush...he is white...but well....never mind...you all know.

Michael Jackson once sang that it doesn't matter if you're black or white. I think what is important is we give a chance for all the presidential candidates a chance to express their views, and for us to make an informed decision based on their views. It is important for us to cultivate a deep interest in the political process because our thoughts, translated into votes, will determine the outcome of the Presidential election.

It is also important for us to keep an open mind to what people in other nations have to say, because US have such a tremendous impact on the rest of the world. It's not that international opinion determines who the President should be, but it should be a factor in deciding whether foreign policy ideas will be supported. Without international support, the candidate can say anything he/she wants, it'll be just pretty rhetoric at the end of the day.

In voting for the right president, race or color is not a criteria. What's important is that he or she has the capability to lead and serve the whole nation efficiently. Not all white and not all black leaders can lead a country successfully, and not all of them are corrupt. We must judge them not by their looks but by their character.

My answer to your question is: it depends. Does that black president have a good character?

I would. But when I vote I don't consider race, color or gender, I just exercise my right to elect the person who I find it more suitable for the job. And if you are thinking about Obama, I like him a lot, he's young, energetic, charismatic and represent the actual reality of the United States and I think that we need a fresh face and a person with new ideas.

It all depends on the qualifications of the person running. Right now, all eyes are on Barack Obama. Although he is a very keen and knowlegable man, he lacks the political experience neccesary to be president. After Hillary is president, see him on the ballot in 2016.

Sure. A woman, too. It doesn't matter what the race, religion, sex, heritage, etc. If the person is capable, it doesn't matter to me. I doubt the country, as a whole, would echo my opinion though. Very unfortunate, because we could possibly be missing out on the best leader the world has ever seen if we would put predjudices aside and vote for the person that is best qualified.

I don't think color should be a factor in electing our president. I would definitely vote for a black president if they had ideas that seemed logical and if they were qualified. When voting, I do not think we should see color, but we should see morals and the candidates ideas to move America forward, and pull us out of the grave the current administration has dug for us.

im not 18 yet, but i dont have a problem with voting for a black president if he has good political and moral values. For me it is not a matter of race or gender, but its a matter of who is the better candidate

When I am looking for a presidential candidate, the color of the candidate's skin is not an issue. What is important to me is the candidate's ability to perform the responsibilities of the job as President.

Sure if he can do a good job you betcha, however I dont think we need a female president and I dont mean to sound racist but I hope we will not have a muslim president.People need to read the Kuran and realize it is not a peaceful religion and they are told in the Kuran to blend in with the infidels until the jihad. We need to becareful who we vote in for leaders of this country.
