Hillary is not an electable candidate and I hope the DNC doesn't select her for endorsement. For some reason she doesn't sit well with people, and it's as simple as that. Obama would be an outstanding choice, he is not too young, and his idealism and message of hope is refreshing. A modern JKF and MLK rolled in one. Deep down I believe concerns of inexperience etc... are masking a fear that America isn't ready for a black president with the middle name Hussein. Whether he could win depends largely on who the Republicans run and how the war is going...
I think he should announce late, and ride the wave of enthusiasm that will follow.

He is already being attacked for his inexperience. Which means the other side is a little worried to start to attack so early. He is black and doesn't have an "American name". That could make it tough for him in the south and in the middle states. Bush will not cooperate with this congress and then the politicial machine is going to say it is congress's fault. They are hoping the people will put his party back in power. Clinton can't win but it may turn rather ugly while she is trying. It will depend on how much damage she can inflict.
He is young, personable, and has fresh ideas. He appeals to the younger voters. He is the new star. If he doesn't make any missteps he might get the nonimation.
So much depends on the next two years. America is tired of war. Bush is spending time this week coming up with a new plan. I am sure part of the planning process is how to make it the new Congress's fault that he can't fix this in the next two years. The majority of American's want the problem of illegal immigration fixed and not by granting amnesty. Many could be made worried that since Obama's father was an immigrant he would be soft on immigration. Bush has to keep the country divided in order for his party to have the chance to get back in power. He can't run for reelection and will take one for the team. Their war chant will be give us the office and the Congress and we will unite America. If Obama wants to win he will have to show that he is the one who has the ideas to fix problems in the middle east, fix the illegal immigrations problems and appeal to the right and left of both parties.

i think of there;s a sturdy risk he would be nominated via the Democrats as a results of fact the well-liked runner for the election. i'm unsure if he will win. I never concept i could see a black individual replace into president of the US in my lifetime - if he did win i could desire it can be a beacon to different youthful black adult men that they are able to attain existence. concerning each and every and all of the themes you have defined, you will desire to argue a similar for all of the different applicants? Discussing race continuously leaves a bad style in human beings's mouths. relating to the war in Iraq i will basically desire that the wide-unfold public provide whoever is elected to place of work the time to form the region out. The 2008 election isn't the answer to the region in Iraq. it somewhat is going to be a step interior the nicely suited direction even inspite of the shown fact that it won't remedy issues in one day.

weakness: he is black, and therefore most people don't think he has what it takes to be a figurehead(leader) of a country.

strengths: A strong belief in doing things better. A very good speaking ability. The last person his age to become president was very popular. The comparison will help him.

Summary: He would make a fine president, but many will not be able to see past his skin color.

He needs to jump into the ring if he wants it and he should stop relying on the Oprah movement to get him off the ground. Does he have a hidden agenda? How does he react under pressure and real diversity. He was elected as a senator by Chicago voters who are hardly representative of Americans.

Honestly, I think Sen. Clinton has more support from the DNC. Next year, I see her getting the nomination. I think Sen. Obama would get the nomination in a walk with a few more years in the Senate on his resume.

A fundamental Christian cannot win a Presidential election. Obama would have to redirect his passion, which comes across as zealotry, to something less of a spiritual crusade about a few people's so-called "right" values" into something grander that could unify people based on the goodness of our commonalities. Actually, he scares me. There's something wrong with him.

Well, I don't think so.

Strengths: considered handsome, intelligent, etc. Good ties with Africa.

Weaknesses: He's not diplomatic with our allies. He's young. Most do not view him as a real leader, but rather a poster boy for diversity.

I can see simple minded people voting for him. Most people who actually took time would probably vote for someone else.

I've got to ask the question... What has he done to prove he's a leader? Has he done it for his state? If so, how does that make him qualified to lead the US?

He's very personable and a great orator, but he's too thin skinned to survive a presidential race. He got upset that word got out about his middle name (Hussein) and all in a tizzy because a reporter made fun of his ears. That's nothing compared to what he'll have to deal with if he throws his hat into the ring.

No, not in 2008.
His youth and relative short time in politics will work against him.
Let him bide his time to become the statesman he promises to be.
If all goes as expected 2016 will be his year.
Now, VP would be something else, but most VP's don't make it to President.
So, again ... let him take his time.
