some one who would have the peoples best interest at heart,
some one who will not crumble like a cookie under pressure.
someone who is not morally corrupt. and if the going gets tough, he or she can be just as tough.

A. Someone who has demonstrated that less government is better.
B. Someone who will stand for something and not blow with the wind.
C. Someone who realizes what a failure government social programs have been.
Too early to tell who has these qualities... they prolly don't exist.

Someone who won't give amnesty to some who has broke the law!
Can't answer for 2008 as I do not know who for sure is running yet.
