Wealth has become even more concentrated during the Bush years. Today, the richest one percent of Americans has 22 percent of all income and about 40 percent of all wealth. This is the biggest concentration of income and wealth since 1928. In 2005, average CEO pay was 369 times that of the average worker, compared with 131 times in 1993 and 36 times in 1976. At the pinnacle of America’s economic pyramid, the nation’s 400 billionaires own 1.25 trillion dollars in total net worth - the same amount as the 56 million American families at the bottom half of wealth distribution.

We got one. I decided to frame it and give it to my daughter for christmas as a gag gift. It makes me feel that Hillary is really scared she will lose to be doing something so pathetic as sending a christmas card with her and bill on it, and the picture sucks too.

Lately Republicans thenk that if they name enough stuff after Ronnie that they can make him the new FDR.
Is there a chance that we will forget
Massacre in El Salvador
Iran-Contra
Grenada
Death of labor unions
Supply-side economics (deficit spending at it's worst)
Ketchup as a vegetable
"I do not recall"
Clearance of the mental health system without funding for follow up care

And to think that there are zombiecons out there who think that he put an end to the USSR? As if.

Why does everyone liberal and conservative alike, love ron paul. Does anyone even know about him. He is for one not a libertarian, he's a conservative. He doesn't support abortion, gay marriage, or stem-cell, but more importantly (and might I add in distinct contrast with libertarian philosophy), thinks they should be illegal, (does anyone else already hear the footsteps of the feds. at your door). Secondly, his fiscal policy is, in my oppinion, nuts. We get it Ron, Capitalism Works, but so does stricter environmental regulations on oil companies, and more socialized healthcare services. Ron Paul, isn't right for America. You may think that his viewpoints are the same as those of our founding fathers but they're not. And even if they were, times have changed. And on more question? Why is it that whenever a Republican or Libertarina says Governent sucks, everyone applauds. But when a moderate, or liberal, or independent, says that gov. sucks, but that it can be good. Everyone boos?

You know, like the elaborately staged re-enactments of the Battle of Gettysburg. Those shows are impressive, and the participants take them seriously enough to enjoy the heck out of the experience. Do you suppose some young historian in, say, 2070 will research The War on Christmas and become so enamoured of the subject that s/he designs costumes and writes battle scripts and sweet-talks alumni into financing the whole thing? And -- here's the kicker -- would you pay admission to see the show?

(If you're still around, of course.)

Against all odds, and despite the usual drumbeat of criticism, President George W. Bush has had a very good year. The troop surge in Iraq is succeeding. America remains safe from terrorist attacks. And the Goldilocks economy is outperforming all expectations.
Calendar year 2007 looks set to produce 3 percent growth in real GDP, nearly 3 percent growth in consumer spending, and over 3 percent growth in after-tax inflation-adjusted incomes. Meanwhile, headline inflation (including food and energy) will have run at 2.5 percent, with only 2 percent core inflation.
Jobs are rising over 100,000 per month and the stock market is set to turn in a respectable year despite enormous headwinds. Low tax rates, modest inflation, and declining interest rates continue to boost Goldilocks, which is still the greatest story never told.
