Wouldn't Martin Luther King, Jr. be disappointed in today's Democratic party for focusing so much on Hillary's gender and Obama's skin?

It seemed like it would have worked in 1980s, from UK Chevaline to Johnny Russ. So, is the same amusing bunch of our pretend warheads still valid and useful?

I just read this article: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20071214/tts-uk-worldbank-donors-britain-d1d4700_3.html

I was just curious if people in the US are aware of the dire financial state their economy is in or are the media outlets too preoccupied with the "War on Terror"?

The amount alloted for U.S military alone , calculated in Indian currency, is
Rs.6, 26, 400 CRORES ! !
This amount does not include the pay rise for the military ! This , after the bogey of " Red Communism on the offensive " has vanished and the ghost of "Russian Invasion" is long dead ! !
If this is only for one nation, imagine the total amount of all other countries ! !

The big difference betwee America circa 2000 and Germany circa 1940 is the Germans did not have the relevision to show them pictures of the torture and murder taking place in secret prisons.

Americans are sharing Bush's experence every day on the news.

a couple of months ago my friend got arrested at a bar because of some brawl she was in. everyone went running and her and her then roommate were the only two arrested. they happened to be on apposing sides of the bar fight so when they got to jail the cops put them on opposite sides of it. my friends roommate was placed in the female side of the jail and my friend got stuck in her own cell in the male side. we don't understand why they did this. so she spent the night there (shes an EXTREMELY heave sleeper) and when the cops came to wake her up and move her they had a hard time getting her up. They pulled the matress out from under her and in a spazmatic move from getting woken up so suddenly, she jolted up and accidentally kicked the cop in the process. so now, not only does she have to go to court for the initial bar fight charges, she also has to attend court for assaulting an officer. is there anything she can do about this?

I wondered if it is poosible to pass a legislation bill that requires any candidates accepting funds from a source cannot have bills passed during their term that will benefit or help that donor profit?

In other words, all donors must be donating for the good of our nation and fellow man and cannot benefit by bills passed that promote their own wealth (such as pharmecultical companies donate money to a presidentail campaign and in the past were gurarenteed a very high profit on all AIDS drugs produced that will be paid through ADAP using federal tax money) or business men that do not own any land but can write grants for huge sums of money to not grow crops that could potentially drive down profits if over produced.

...and I don't see why I'm hated so much.
I will leave off the more controversial topics that most of you will just condemn anyway, so I will argue to your kind of logic.

First of all, I was brought here by my parents at age 11 (I will not discuss my parents here, because my logic will be lengthy). What is a child age 11 supposed to do?... I had no say in the decision... I was a child!
Second of all, I am a productive person who brings something to this society. I am a college student attending UCLA and doing quite well. I've always been rather gifted academically. I did not choose to come to this country, but I did choose to succeed.
I truly don't see any justice in people condemning my sheer existence! What's my sin, to be born out of the country? I should have thought twice before being born in Mexico, huh? How evil of me!
I know you all hate what my parents did, but you lack the context of their reasons, and make assumptions. But what about me? How can you say I'm a burden?!

My boyfriend was put on probation back in march or so for posession of controlled substance [adhd medication that someone left in his car, drug dogs searched and found at school]. He got 2 years probation. He was supposed to go to court on Monday but, didn't know about it so didn't show up. Next thing you know, his probation officer is calling him telling him he needs to go up there because he missed court... then they took him to jail. THey set his bail at $100,000 dollars... How long can or will they hold him? Our baby is due in 2 weeks and 6 days, and I wanted so badly for him to be there..

It is estimated that some 70% of 999 calls do not require the urgent attention of the emergency services. To reduce this number, if the call can be traced to the individual, should they be prosecuted?

Cambridgeshire police have released five recordings of "non-emergency" 999 calls on their website, such as one caller who asked for the date, and another who "COULDN'T FIND HOMEBASE AND WAS VERY DISTRESSED".
