My husbands grandfather died at the Normandy invasion and we have not been able to get alot of information on his time in the military. Gransmother refuses to discuss that time in her life. I want to try to find someone who might have served with him durring the war.

Try military.com indeed. Browse the net. There is bound to be someone out there who can help you along. Dont give up. As to your grandmother I can understand her as those times for all the different kinds of Armed Forces from different countries, went through some tough times over there. The movie Saving Private Ryan is a good example for ya.Band of Brothers, A Bridge too far. Sorry.. i could go on and on as I am a European citizen..we get to see a lot of WW2 on tv and get educated about it in school.

You know his unit? Most have a website with contact info. Most can even reach every member of the unit still alive!
