"Truth serum" vs psychological torture. One is drug induced susceptibility and one is fear induced susceptibility if both methods actually work. If you are against waterboarding, would you be ok with truth serum?

You might be on to something there. How about instead of waterboarding or truth serum, the interrogators just sit with the prisoners and pass a bong around. It might take a month or two, but after a while they'll be partying and gabbing together like old buddies.

I don’t know of any Republicans shirking any responsibility to waterboardoing. In fact I know of many who have taken ownership of it. Try and follow along. When something is viewed as being wrong on nothing is done about it or you remain silent until it suits your political carrier, that’s the true wrong; every bit as much so as the act in question. This is Pelosi. The facts are public to anyone who cares to keep an objective view on them. The C.I.A. has more to lose than gain by misleading any administration. Pelosi was briefed, she failed to act. Or is this a case of a woman only hearing what she wants to hear. Is there some mechanism in a woman’s mind that takes plain speech and turns it into something completely different by the time it registers in her brain? “Regardless of if she knew about it or not, she is not the one who OK'd it or who made it part of general policy“. Really? But she didn’t do anything about it either. She could have or in the very least made an effort to. Now, when it’s clearly shown she not only knew about it, she remained silent; then she waffles on it.

Seems to me that "truth serum" is already used or at least it should be. If there is an imminent threat that could save thousands of American lives then Bamboo under the fingernails works for me. Go figure...I'm a McCain supporter regardless of his feelings towards water boarding. These are NOT POW's they are enemy combatants.

Truth serum would probably get the truth a lot quicker then maybe getting the truth with waterboarding.

I think war is a very ugly business and like a street brawl can not, and should not be regulated. If I choose to climb into the ring with Mike Tyson, I am not going to cry foul when he knocks me out of my shorts, nor am I going to wait for him to do it.
