...and I don't see why I'm hated so much.
I will leave off the more controversial topics that most of you will just condemn anyway, so I will argue to your kind of logic.

First of all, I was brought here by my parents at age 11 (I will not discuss my parents here, because my logic will be lengthy). What is a child age 11 supposed to do?... I had no say in the decision... I was a child!
Second of all, I am a productive person who brings something to this society. I am a college student attending UCLA and doing quite well. I've always been rather gifted academically. I did not choose to come to this country, but I did choose to succeed.
I truly don't see any justice in people condemning my sheer existence! What's my sin, to be born out of the country? I should have thought twice before being born in Mexico, huh? How evil of me!
I know you all hate what my parents did, but you lack the context of their reasons, and make assumptions. But what about me? How can you say I'm a burden?!

Before I get some idiotic/brief answer, let me just remind you that:

CRIME INVOLVES MAKING A CHOICE!

Ok... asking me to go back to Mexico when I have been raised here is as absurd as me asking all Anglos to go back to Europe.
It would be extremely illogical as well seeing as how I don't have any family in Mexico.

wow... the lack of human sympathy is amazing. Cold-heartedly telling me that I should pay for my parents' so-called crimes, and telling me that living in the country I was raised in is a crime... no wonder this world is so ****!ng screwed up...

...never mind... you guys are right... Right about me wasting my time trying to reason with you! You'll never understand! The law is a relative institution with foundations on truth and reason; it was illegal for women to vote 87 years ago! The law changes based on ethics! But your close-mindedness and your conviction to persuade yourselves with a biased media and a very shallow consensus will not allow you to see into the justice behind the law.
You seem to claim an inherent nature to yourselves as americans, but it is unfounded! Your ancestors WERE the disgusting criminals who came to a land already populated, wiped out populations, and established a supposedly justified order ignoring the one that previously governed the land, a land that was free and had no restraints posed by human institutions! Why is it then that your birth in this land earned through deceit and exploitation gives you some sort of divine right to it?! You use the law as a shield for your lack or thinking!

Their hatred of you is not limited to your lack of an American birth certificate. On the contrary, it is an ignorance and a prejudice veiled by it. Your lack of documentation is a convenient excuse to lump you in together with all of those they do not tolerate. You and I standing side by side would be viewed as equally repulsive in their eyes. Me, with an American birth certificate and you without solely on the basis of skin color. My papers, forces them to veil their hatred in other ways but it exist all the same. I do not speak of all. But there are far more than openly admit it.

You cannot change hate with more hate. You can only change it by being everything they say you are not or can not be. You can only change their perceptions by smiling in their face even as they snarl at you. Be educated, be productive, and leave them and their antiquated ideas of who you are behind in the dust.

My answer is assuming you are 'illegal'

As an illegal being brought here by your parents at 11 years old was not your choice, I understand that. However your parents made the decision to break the US immigration law and either overstay a visa or enter this country illegally.

By doing so, their actions have harmed you their child. The US government is not to blame; a immigration system is in place even visas for unskilled workers (H2) so, there is no excuse. Everyone wants a better life, is that a good enough excuse to enter a country illegally? NO!

You are attending college and making a better life for yourself. However you are always going to have the stigma of 'illegal' either though it was not your choice. Many States you would not be able to attend college if you were illegal. In my state you would not be able to attend college.

So when you get a job how are you going to provide a SSN? A fake one a stolen one? - or do you have a real one of your own?

I don't hate you, I don't know you as a minor at the time this move was made, you can't be made responsible for it. But, you are; you will always be labeled, by your parents actions.

I don't understand why you even ask the question if you don't appear to want any answers that oppose your views. Looks to me you just want some sympathy.

Its true, you didn't have a choice. You parents did, and they made a poor decision when choosing how to get your family here. Condemning your existence is a stretch though. Condemning your "presence" in the country maybe. Taking up taxpayer money by studying in at public school is definitely something most taxpayers will have an issue with. Specially when their kid gets reject by UCLA because they aren't accepting more students (because some undocumented student got in instead). Multiply that by the number of folks who may be just like you, then you see that this "problem" extends past your life. It starts affecting many other people.
This isn't a matter of whether you are worth it or not. It's not even because you're Mexican. (If Canadians where rushing down the border in the same numbers as Mexicans, we'd have the same problem.) The problem is that the influx of illegal immigration is causing a strain in local governments ability to provide services for the less fortunate. Not to mention the fact that it has brought crime and other undesirables. I could go on, but seeing that you are a critical thinking college student, I'm sure you understand where I'm coming from.
-----
How are you parents taxpayers? Did they get their SNN before the Govt stopped issuing them to undocumented people? I'm super curious as to how your parents can pay taxes if they came here illegally. Please elaborate.
-----
By not actively seeking ways to become documented, you are allowing yourself to be a criminal.
-----
True, telling you to go back to Mexico is a bit immature since you grew up here and have made this country your home. However, I don't think its out of the question if you intend on fixing your legal status. It may have to come to that unfortunately.
-----
Most people are generally unsympathetic towards people who break laws. You and your family will not be first or the last to be treated this way. The world isn't f'ed up, you just need to do some growing up.
-----
For those who wonder why other ethnic groups don't get the wrath Mexican's get, I got one answer for you...most don't cross here illegally in the sheer numbers Mexicans do. It is the unfortunate truth.

Criminals are not well received. You should do whatever it takes to stop being a lawbreaker. Until then expect alot of hate, just as if you were a child molester or a drug dealer.
You say 'CRIME INVOLVES MAKING A CHOICE!' and I don't know where you get nonsense like that, maybe from your country but that is NOT the way it works here. Ignorance of the law is no excuse! You know you are a criminal and say it is TOO HARD to change that! Get out of my country or be thrown out when we catch you, and catch you we will! We are sick and tired of you and are going to find you and make you get out and stay out.

A few people have answered 'I don't hate you' but then suggest you leave the country or stop breaking our laws. I'll be honest, I hate you and each and every lawbreaker who dares to sneak in here and claim they have a right to be here.

I dont believe you are hated. I do believe the actions of your family, are however. I put myself through college, working construction. I was a farm boy and had no idea what I should have been concentrating on. That is my fault and my parents crime for not better preparing me for what comes next in the workforce in America. You are loathed not because of who you are, but because you are here and insist you have the same rights of those who are legal citizens. This is not true and this is a big portion of what Amercans hate. I am struggling to find work, I would gladly take the labor jobs that would be available should there not be illegals doing the work. It is illegal for a company not to hire an illegal, because it is the fed. gov. job to determine legality of citizenship. While you are at the library at UCLA, do some research on the laws regarding illegal's, company's etc. We law abiding citizens of the United States hate how the laws are applied to us, yet you go right on breaking the laws. I know many hispanics. They claim as many dependents as possible to avoid paying income taxes, have stolen ss #'s, no legal drivers license or insurance and more and you sit here and preach to us about why we are not using logic in determining you are allowed to continue committing a crime you admit to and are proud of? Maybe we should extend the fence around CA.

If you are here legally or trying to obtain legal citizenship, fear little or nothing. If you are here illegallly, fear the majority of the legal, taxpaying, law abiding citizens of the United States. If you are here illegally, I will gladly look forward to the rise of the majority and the demise of the illegals.

I don't hate you anymore than I hate any other criminal I don't know. Stop making excuses and go through the process. And at that point you will be welcome here. Liberals have 2 choices obey the law or change the law; if you choose the later, you must still obey the law until changed.
The reality is crimes are commited by criminals and the sun sets in the west no matter which way you are facing.

You knew before you posted this question that every single anti illegal on this forum would be furious that you are receiving a college education sans citizenship. You are apparently aware of how to rectify this problem, and we don't support your actions here and the ones who caused you to be hated were your parents, talk to them about what should be done. You already know the answer.

You seem like a smart person. If you got into UCLA you should be able to get documented and become a legal citizen, and then you can help your family become documented also. Until you do that, you are living here illegally.
I don't hate you at all, I'm just saying that you are smart enough to become a legal citizen in the United States.

You may not have chose to come to this country but you are choosing to remain illegally. You are now old enough that you could try to become legal. Lacking the context of their reasons does not change the facts. Breaking the law is breaking the law no matter why it is done.

No matter how eloquently you put it, you are still an illegal criminal alien, as are your parents.

When you were 18, you had the CHOICE to go back to your own country and apply to come here legally, but you did not. Apparently your becoming legal here was not an important consideration to you.

Lets set the record straight.

You are not "UNDOCUMENTED" you are a CRIMINAL and an ILLEGAL INVADER in my country.

You are hated because you have no respect for our laws. It is a shame that time and money are being wasted on you at UCLA as I can only assume that the government is paying your way through school, while I had to work my *** off to fund my education.

You are not productive, you are a criminal and a burden to society.

Your sin is that you know you are an ILLEGAL INVAGER and a CRIMINAL and yet you choose to ignore it and continue to hide in my country. You are evil, you are a criminal and so are your parents. THERE IS NO REASON TO BE AN ILLEGAL INVADER OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

Who pays for you schooling? How much tax dollars do you and your parents watse by being and ILLEGAL INVADER? How much of MY money goes to support your criminal activities? Who pays for your medical, your housing, your education as a child?? AMERICANS DID, and you had NO RIGHT TO IT!!

I will tell you however I am glad that you at least communicate in English, and props to you for getting an education, I have a Masters in Iternantional Finance, that I PAID FOR MY SELF.

Now to comment on your EDITS.

"CRIME IS MAKING A CHOICE:"

You are CHOOSING TO STAY HERE ILLEGALLY, There for, according to your own words, YOU ARE A CRIMINAL. UCLA is a PUBILC school paid for by AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS, you have NO RIGHT to absorb monies from that school.

So becasue it is "difficult" to become an AMERICAN citizen that makes it ok for you and your parents to stay here ILLEGALLY?

There is a reason it is difficult, WE DON'T WANT DEAD BEAT 3RD WORLD GARBAGE IN OUR COUNTRY.

Your justifiaction has NO merit at all.

You should go back to Mexico, you have NO RIGHT TO BE HERE. And the Retoric about Anglos going back to Europe is just a stupid defense that ILLEGAL INVADERS use to try to defend thier criminal actions. You have no family there becasue they are all criminals in this country. WE have enough CITIZENS that are criminals, we don't need to import them as well.

We are cold hearted because we care about our country and we are sick of people like you and your family coming here ILLEGALLY and taking advantage of AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS and sponging off of the Government.
