The amount alloted for U.S military alone , calculated in Indian currency, is
Rs.6, 26, 400 CRORES ! !
This amount does not include the pay rise for the military ! This , after the bogey of " Red Communism on the offensive " has vanished and the ghost of "Russian Invasion" is long dead ! !
If this is only for one nation, imagine the total amount of all other countries ! !

The annual allocation of Fund for Military is totally non productive. The Cold War is over. The citizens of every country will be proud of the facts like, eradication of dangerous diseases, removal of poverty , making the nation fully literate, providing better health care for all, making education free for all till Standard 10 level, working sincerely to eradicate casteism and religious divide . I don't think any nation with empty stomach feels great if the country produces N-Bombs and spends huge sum of money (which is totally non productive) for its armed forces.
USA spends the highest amount for its defence budget. The size US Economy is very huge ....having GDP of 5 times the total GDP of Western European countries.
Even then, a conservative estimate will be .........5 times the 10% of US Defence spending can be saved for human welfare as I mentioned above. Why can't good sense prevails in the minds of all the countries of the world......and , we say frequently that this generation is the most civilised one ever lived on the surface of the earth.

"This , after the bogey of " Red Communism on the offensive " has vanished and the ghost of "Russian Invasion" is long dead ! !"
Sorry we now have to worry about the new Tsar of Russia, Tsar Putin, and the spread of Putinisum.
A lot would help if India cleaned up its own act and introduced some form of birth control and a better social-system instead of the caste system (well its not happening you know, its er banned nudge, nudge, wink, wink, old boy).
And
No, I am not being racist here, but each country should start at home and not expect to be constantly bailed out all the time.
People are only willing to give so much but when its becomes an anual demand they get tired of it.

Yes that was an idea of mine that I had for the population reduction. Well to start of course. Then will come disease. Then war, world war. Haven't we got a lot to look forward to as a race?

I too would like to see these resources devoted to humanitarian concerns . If these assets were dedicated to more worthwhile endeavors there would be a much better world but certainly not a Utopian society wherein there still exists tribal warfare be it a nation or a group of people with like interests .
More resources are given to the destruction of the human body than are given to the care of a human-being .
A common denominator in human psychology is desire , which is insatiable , be it for wealth or power .
Happy and safe holidays ! :0)

Throw in education in the importance of reduced human reproduction and consumption rates and you may have something.

Imagine,
If those people would quit making f cking babies that they can't feed.
less babies = less mouths to feed
less mouths to feed = more food for the mouths left.
more food for the mouths that are left over = healthier people
healthier people = less disease
AND ALL OF THAT DOESN'T TAKE A F CKING PENNY!!!!!
Please explain to me how these people are starving yet still have the energy to make all of those f cking babies. When I get hungry the last thing that I want to do is screw.
