Hillary is a more effective campaigner, with more political contacts from years of being in Washington. Obama says "uh" too much in the debates and is short on experience.
He's a smart guy, though.

The cause is the "Carter effect". HC is too well known, she is a professionial politician, groomed from birth to chase after the golden carrot. A year ago I had thought she had the nomination in the bag, but that is apperently not the case. The American people are looking ofr a new face for a "Mr. Smith" an honest man, someone that is not a professional politican but a human being, someone new. Despite the facts BO is better at marketing his image, this image. The underdog, the lone canidate running on policy. However he benifits from know one really being able to state his achivements. He was also groomed from birht for this office for he has never worked a day in his life. Someone has also paid his way. But he has less of a history than HC. And the people want their "Mr. Smith". Thats how a peanut farmer from nowhere GA became President.

I think the Clintons have a good grip on the party machinery. The downside to that for Hillary is that independents may see her as someone who denied them a chance to vote for Obama. Notice that the GOP candidates never dump on Obama. In the election they can use their surrogates to portray Hillary as the mean-spirited person who destroyed the worthy Obama's American dream.

Obama will lose on the drug use issue, probably, but thats sad that Bill Clinton and GWBush can admit to drug use and still get elected. I think being black, he has to run a flawless campaign.

This is easy....this country is still backwards and would rather see a white idiotic female in office, then a decent black man. So sad.

Lose? Heck... he may win it by default if the Clintonistas don't lighten up on their goon-squad tactics.
