I was born August 12, 1987. My father was born in Cuckfield, England on May 9, 1965. He came to America with my Grandma when he was three years old and he became a citizen of America in his teens. He married my Mom before I was born. His descendants have lived in England for as far back as I could trace. So as far I could tell he should be considered a british citizen, but Im not sure if he is. And is that all I require if I want to qualify for a U.K passport?

There are so many rules and guidelines concerning dual citizenship and I am really really confused how I would go about this, or if I even qualify for U.K citizenship/passport.

And if there is a specific form that I need to fill out if I do, or just fill out the same application that is at Britainusa.com
I also want to know if anybody has any idea how to "register with the British consule" because what my Dad has told me, but he's been too tired to guide me thru it cause he's been working so much

Is it counterintuintive for progressives(liberals) who want a secular society, that the popularity of a charlie brown christmas tv cartoon seems to prove otherwise(they don't talk about a "holiday" on the cartoon now do they? )
Heck even they probably want to have their kids watch the cartoon....just like they did...

The defendant in this mock trial is a large beverage company, the plaintiff is an up and coming star, one day this soon to be star is driving on the highway and cargo from this beverage truck falls on the highway causing the plaintiff to swerve and sustain permanent disfigurement to his face (he was not wearing a helmet). While in the hospital his mouth is wired so it can heal, the plaintiff decides to loosen the wires in his mouth, causing further injury to himself. What are possible trial strategies I could use if I was representing the defendants side?

And what impact will this have on future conflicts--if by the off chance--our military servicemen are captured? Do you think that those rogue countries will abide by international law, the rules of war, or the Geneva Accords--if we don't?

I wonder the CIA and the Bush administration knows this. Or do they really care what happens as a result of this disastrous policy?

Because the more they deny that the US tortures, the more obvious the truth becomes.

my husband has been incarcerated since janurary 2007 i joined the army before he was incarcerated but left after they incarcerated him.well while in the army i find out that he can not leave the state he's in. im stationed in a whole nother state 20 hours away and.now when he's released he won't have anywhere to live at all .im the only one that can help take care of him so im trying to get dependency discharge but if possible a compassionant reassignment.but im being told i should just get the discharge because i may deploy and that may defeat the purpose of the compassionant reassignment being in the same state as my husband?do you have any clue about this?

The gruesome scenes of Atomic bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki and its aftermath and the scenes of horrible and untold suffering of the innocent people there ever since then have shattered any claim of Man to call himself "civilised"... And yet, strangely enough, NEITHER U.S NOR OTHER NATIONS SEEM TO HAVE LEARNT THE LESSONS OF REFRAINING FROM WAR, AGGRESSION,GREED AND AGGRANDISEMENT.
Is it not possible for all countries to unite and turn all their undivided attention to the art of living in peace and mutual respect, sharing the common goals of eradiction of poverty, disease, illiteracy, unemployment, unjust exploitaion of natural resources, child abuse and the like and spend all their precious time and effort to make this Earth a better place to live for the suffering millions... ? Together, all the nations could even fix a time-limit for carrying out these goal-oriented projects with the U.N and W.H.O supervising the progress made by each nation...

I quit my former job because I got another job working some place much better. I never gave my former employer any notice that I was leaving. Now, they are giving me a hard time getting my pay. I had direct deposit the entire time I was working there and my boss called me up and said that I was out of my money because she canceled my direct deposit and she won't give me my pay because I didn't give her any notice. I understand that I should have gave her notice, but I didn't. I can understand being upset with me, but it's illegal(from what I know) to keep someones pay from them. So, can she stop my direct deposit without my authorization or is it illegal?

At this weekend's Values Voters Summit, Huckabee made a poor choice. At this weekend's gathering, Huckabee told the crowd:

"Sometimes we talk about why we're importing so many people in our workforce. It might be for the last 35 years, we have aborted more than a million people who would have been in our workforce had we not had the holocaust of liberalized abortion under a flawed Supreme Court ruling in 1973."

But suggesting that abortion has created a holocaust and that this is why businesses have imported so many people essentially rips the friendly mask off of him and potentially exposes him to these voters as yet another abrasive Bible-thumper in the mold of Tony Perkins or Gary Bauer.

Say a crime was commited, a witness identifies a unique description of what is said to be the getaway car. The owner of the car is stopped and arrested..is this enough probable cause to charge the owner of the car with the crime? If so, even if the owner's physical appearance could not be identified, and no other evidence?
