It's not propaganda, since it's true.

He was raised muslim, but that's not his only religion. He goes to a baptist church that says mean things about whites, but that's not against the law.

He did forget to put his hand on his heart during the national anthem once when all the other democrats did. Maybe he just forgot that time.

So these facts are true and not propaganda, but it helps to have to whole story in some cases.

Well Obama admittedly says hat him not wearing a flag does not make him anti-patriot. He states that his words make him patriotic. Unfortunately in our country actions do speak louder than words. You remember the famous words "I am not a crook, or "no new taxes." Both guys actions were more important than their words. Obam having a senior moment during the pledge of allegiance, which mind you is still required to be saluted by congressmen and women, senators, and both the president and vice-president, is totally unacceptable. It shows a lack of focus and direct disrespect for something many Americans have fought for, but those of you that think it is alright not to salute the flag go ahead and vote for the guy. I really don't think it will matter in the long run since he stated that reciting the pledge of allegiance is painful for him. Notice he recently converted to Christianity as well. e was actually swore into his current office on a copy of the Koran.

Well he doesn't display all the traditional signs of respect that most American leaders do (he's about the only male "leader" without a flag lapel pin that I've ever seen), but he really isn't a traditional leader. But there are also some pictures of him showing some traditional signs of respect to the flag. I don't think he is anti-patriotic, I just don't think showing patriotism is something that is important to him since from the various pictures circulating (more than one) it doesn't seem to come naturally to him.

Hes Church of Christ.
He was photographed with his hand not over his heart during the anthem, you don't have to have your hand over your heart then, just during the Pledge, but many people don't realize that and made a fuss.
Don't like him for whatever reason, but hes Christian and he does say the Pledge.
He did say he thought the flag pin wasn't necessary to show his patriotism, a sensible thing to say but I don't have to tell you how all the Reps suddenly spouted flags the next time out.
As if wearing a made-in-China pin is how you could tell.
If you go to some of the early R debates only three or four of them (depending on the event) wore flags pins.

Check out my link in sources for what Obama has to say about saluting the flag. It is suburb Republican propaganda that he doesn't, by the way.

Also, according to his biography on his official website, Obama belongs to the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.

Edit to add: The fact that he went to a muslin school for one year when there was no other school around to go to might actually be a huge plus in our ever shrinking world. He might be better received and perceived around the world than our current or past presidents.

Who knows what he claims this minute. It wasn't that he didn't salute the flag, he just stood there with his hands crossed down in-front of him while everyone else had their hand over their heart. I didn't spend over twenty years in the Air Force and retire from the same to see some dip shi* disrespect our flag! I don't care what religion he is, but his dis-respect for our flag is enough to keep me from voting for his sorry a**!

He's not a muslim, he's a christian.

A photograph was taken at an event attended by several democratic candidates. During the national anthem, several people on stage put their hand on their heart - Obama stood with his hands clasped in front of him. That photo was then emailed across the internet with the claim that he refused to take the pledge of allegiance.

Do you salute the flag? I can't remember the last time I did. I only see members of the military do this.

Obama was criticized by the Right Wing because he does not wear a flag pin. My understanding is that he thinks wearing a pin is an empty gesture -- it is our actions, not our jewelry that shows our patriotism.

He is not a muslim and he does not refuse to salute the flag. There is a picture of him during the national anthem where he does not have his hand over his heart. He is however standing and facing the flag - and thus showing appropriate respect.

Sounds to me like him refusing to salute to the flag in 100% propaganda. No one has a snow ball's chance in hell of becoming president if they did that.

Also, why would him being Muslim be shocking? Shouldn't be anymore shocking than Christian.
