The more I read the more I like him

i'm not saying make him an "instant" American, but we do issue like 9 million visas a year and a third of those hide out in the country after they expire. The administration could have sent a message and reward something good, maybe give him a visa and then only hand out 8,999,999. If they sent him back and figure it would send a "clear message" they are cracking down on illegals, I would have to laugh. The only message that would convince me they are cracking down is if they stop the flow of poisin to the country, the 'money machine". Hey guys you cannot take it with you. Hope the guy gets a visa, as he wasn't carrying drugs. Just wondering what message they are sending?

If the cops come to your house and knock to do a "well" check because someone called them that you might be in trouble, are you obligated to open the door? Can they bust the door in if no one answers and the house is quiet?

I'm talking about Texas, btw.

end so all of a sudden?

I really believe the war in Iraq is finished. There appear to be sporadic and small attacks only. I don't think the SURGE had anything to do with it, because it was all too simple and quick. One can only suppose that adding more "wood" to the fire makes it burn a little longer, meaning that Al-queda and other fighters would have just been delighted (being them the way they are), to have gone on fighting.

I can only think they would have moved further to the North in hope of getting in on the fight between Kurds and Turkey. But nothing has come out of that.

I truly think the key to it all is there somewhere with the SUNNIS. The US apparently recognized and admitted their strength and future political power or something, and began working on them.

Am I too far off in this?

He cut taxes, drastically increased military spending, had a hawkish attiude on foreign affairs, and created huge budget deficits in the process.

Just like Reagan.

In addition, he has increased the role of religion in government, created "faith based" gov't funded charities, censored scientists on controversial issues, tried to privatize everything from foreign aid to military forces, opposed stem cell research, the right to die in Oregon, the right to gay marriage in Massachusetts, and the right to medical marijuana in California.

Sounds like a conservative to me.

This is a very big issue and involves a lot of money and spans several years. It also originates in another state where the case would be handled. The lawyer or lawyers would have to be willing to take a percentage of the outcome of the decision. Do you think this is possible?

With Howard GONE [yippee!] and pro-republican Turnbully the front-runner for Liberal leadership in opposition, the republican debate is heating up again.

No doubt Mal the Pal would love to be our 1st President. Would you support a model for the republic with a powerful, independently-elected President, similar to the US system?

My step-dad is in the Marines, so I've traveled a lot. One of the places I lived at was MCAS Iwakuni, Japan. I am going to join the Air Force, and I started wondering if it was even the remotest chance that I could be stationed there as Air Force active duty. I'm more curious than anything, because while I do want to get stationed in Japan again, there are a couple AF bases there I could get stationed at if I was so lucky.

My husband and I were just awarded $14K in legal fees from an arbitration board of our county's state bar because our family law attorney was completely inept. She never filed for Discovery from his ex wife but charged us for it, lost subpoenas and never filed them, forgot to tell my husband about a crucial court date so he was fined $ thousands in sanctions, ever provided a statement in 8 months, etc. So the arbitration board ruled overwhelmingly in our favor to get all fees paid to her returned. If she doesn't appeal the decision in 30 days it's binding.

She just sent us a backdated bill with ridiculous made up fees totalling more than the $14K, so we think she's going to appeal and fight us into a legal malpractice lawsuit.

My question is, if we win a malpractice lawsuit against her and then she files bankruptcy, will she be exempt from ever returning any of our money or paying what we win from the lawsuit? Or would this be one of those exempt bills she has to pay??

I am 21 and never got in trouble after that i was 14 years old at the time i was charged and convicted. my records were sealed when i was 19 and i am now trying to become a police officer in the state of california. i am awaiting my live scan and i just wanted to see if anyone knew if those juvenile felonies would still show after being sealed. i had a letter from DOJ show at least one felony banning me from owning a gun prior to having my record sealed.

Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing
blue every Friday. The reason? Americans who support
our troops used to be called the 'silent majority' We
are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for
God, country and home in record breaking numbers. We
are not organized, boisterous or overbearing.
Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends,
simply want to recognize that the vast majority of
America supports our troops. Our idea of showing
solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and
respect starts this Friday -- and continues each and
every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a
deafening message that ... every red-blooded American
who supports our men and women afar, will wear
something blue.
By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United
States on every Friday a sea of blue much like a
homecoming football game in the bleachers. If every
one of us who loves this country will share this with
acquaintances, coworkers, friends, and family, it will
not be long before the USA is covered in BLUE and it
will let our troops know the once 'silent' majority is
on their side more than ever, certainly more than the
media lets on.
The first thing a soldier says when asked 'What can
we do to make things better for you?' is ...'We need
your support and your prayers.' Let's get the word out
and lead with class and dignity, by example, and wear
something blue every Friday.
