No, I don't think so. I live in California and am very tired of seeing all the signs and postings, etc, in two languages. If one can't read English, the likelihood that one understands it enough to be informed on the issues and the candidates is slim.

We speak English in America, so therefore why should more tax dollars go to printing costs of another language for our own political system. When you get here, learn the language, and learn politics. The DMV has their information in multi-languages and the English forms are ALWAYS at the bottom. The Constitution is in English. The Bill of Rights is in English. The Declaration of Independence is well English. When you get to jury duty you better speak English. When you sign a traffic citation it is in English. Voter ballots should be no different.

Why not?
One can be a citizen of this country and not speak English well or at all. Citizens have the right to vote and we don't have the right to deny them that opportunity because they speak and read another language with greater fluency than English.
Besides - if they are getting their news from foreign sources they are probably better informed than most English speaking Americans.

Since the United States has no official state language, I think it is only reasonable to print ballots in other languages.

no. one of the tests for citizenship should be competency in English. Should we print them and every other government document in 180 languages? Where do you draw the line? Spanish in TX, French in Maine, Hebrew in NY, Japanese in San Fransico, Chinese in Seattle, Italian in Philly.....Hawaiian, Inuit......???

Yes.
Since almost a million DEAD Democrats vote in each election, all ballots should be printed in Latin.
