Yes, I speak Spanish, and yes, I've heard Bush speak lately.

What does that have to do with Hugo Chavez's idiocy when it comes to Venezuelan relations with other South American countries?

I'm about as moderate as they come. Does criticism of Chavez now translate into neoconservatism and pedophilia? If so, that would fit every sane person in the world into those categories - which doesn't make much sense.

Colombia is the only democracy left in South America and has been a loyal to America for a long time, depsite historical clashes with America that far exceed any other minor complaints their neighbors claim to have (see history of Panama Canal).

Its sad that some many Americans, in particular Democrats, piss on Colombia, especially since its the American drug demand that keeps the guerrilas in Colomiba well armed.

America should put their full support behind Colombia and make it the radiate jewel of South America.

I think it is their country and it's influence. Chavez is the type of man who can become and remain a leader there. Other leaders around the world would not last there as he has. But I do agree that while he has status in his own country, he will need to create a new image if he wishes to remain a part of the global community.
