i'm not saying make him an "instant" American, but we do issue like 9 million visas a year and a third of those hide out in the country after they expire. The administration could have sent a message and reward something good, maybe give him a visa and then only hand out 8,999,999. If they sent him back and figure it would send a "clear message" they are cracking down on illegals, I would have to laugh. The only message that would convince me they are cracking down is if they stop the flow of poisin to the country, the 'money machine". Hey guys you cannot take it with you. Hope the guy gets a visa, as he wasn't carrying drugs. Just wondering what message they are sending?

One good deed doesn't make up for a bad one. He came here illegally, and although I do not know for certain if he was deported, either way he should be. If this sound mean or insensitive, well I just have to think about my parents and all those other families who have been strongly touched by illegals. If it wasn't for illegals, both of my parents may still be here. So, although he did a good deed, there are thousands of illegals doing the opposite.

I think they should send him back, without fingerprinting him, first. Let him get a "do-over," if you will. It was a humane act for him to help the child, but if a burglar stops to give cpr to a person in the home he's robbing, he's still a burglar, and he still was breaking the law.

If we start making exceptions then ALL illegals will do something nice as they cross the border, and then it'll be impossible to say NO to any of them.

I have mixed feeling about the Mexican who saved that boys life, I would like to first to do a background check on him, and if that is clean, maybe a USA citizen will come forwarded to give him a job and agree to sponsor him for 5 years and provide health care for him and his family, other wise I would say no. He did the human thing to do, but a green with no strings would only once again send a wrong message

Well illegal is still illegal, So if a guy robs the corner store but next week helps a little old lady onto a bus he should be given a break?

Sorry I am one of those who believes that if they are illegal then they need to leave and request to enter legally.

Haven't heard but I have no sympathy for ANY of the illegals, even if they do something good. If you make an exception for one, you must make it for others.

I hope he's been deported. One good deed doesn't help with all of the other creeps who are here. Legal is legal, illegal is illegal.
