I had my laptop stolen in August. I reported it to the police and was able to give them an IP address that the laptop was connected with after the burglary. However, it has been 3 months and I have not heard from them. What would be taking so long? I do plan to call for a followup.

Gee.... I thought Carter was a good and wise man beloved by all.

It seems that the people he works with are ashamed of him.

"Fourteen members of a Carter Center advisory board have resigned in protest of the publication of Jimmy Carter's book, "Palestine Peace Not Apartheid" saying that they could "no longer in good conscience continue to serve the center" based on both on the former President's assertions in the book and his subsequent comments made in promoting it. I was wanting to know what others ideas would be for the best ways to protect yourself in the event someone broke into your house. This would exclude burglar alarms. I want to know what exactly your plan of action would be if someone actually did break in with the intent of robbing you and killing you if necessary.

The reason I'm asking this question is that people have plans for what they would do if their house caught on fire or if there is a tornado or an earthquake but I never hear people talk that much about what to do if someone breaks in.

Question:
Would you rather have one well-thought out answer that is directly opposite of what you deeply believe, or 40 average to idiotic one-liners generally in support of your views?
Would you rather 'debate' issues or 'just talk' politics?

Are you BBC or are you Fox News?

" I think the fact that governors are being forced into this position is really unfortunate. They should not be making immigration policy. The federal government should be making that policy. And that's what I'm going to try to do as PRESIDENT AGAIN, and, I do not believe that in the context of federal immigration reform that that would be an issue that governors would have to contend with."

A bipartisan investigation by the Senate intelligence committee subsequently established that all of these claims were false -- and that Mr. Wilson was recommended for the Niger trip by Ms. Plame, his wife. When this fact, along with Ms. Plame's name, was disclosed in a column by Robert D. Novak, Mr. Wilson advanced yet another sensational charge: that his wife was a covert CIA operative and that senior White House officials had orchestrated the leak of her name to destroy her career and thus punish Mr. Wilson.

The partisan furor over this allegation led to the appointment of special prosecutor Patrick J. Fitzgerald. Yet after two years of investigation, Mr. Fitzgerald charged no one with a crime for leaking Ms. Plame's name.
